Get something sturdy and can be pack small. I thought the Koss PP or some in ear buds will be good. Of cos a sturdy case will be a plus Don't have to worry about getting lost in army, if its damage or stolen also not so heart pain. You would probably be sleeping with music on your way to camp and sleeping with music from camp to home on the train or bus. A lot of practicality is required especially during army.

so u go all the way for the cables form the end to the speakers? its quite a hefty bit of stuff to zap

Isn't it very difficult to use the ionclast? does it really work? I have such a huge amount of static here, that when wake up in the middle of the night with my t-shirt(drifit material) and i can create sparks of statics for like 10-15 seconds(not kidding), and i wonder how much of that are clinging onto my system.

All this hype about the SPL is really feeding my curiosity about it, I think I must make a trip to Stereo when I am back home. I haven't really gone into a lot of cdp, but the little dot cdp and dac combo is serving me well, not sure if you get to try them in Sg.

I could still remember asking Aron about the Astello for like 6 to 7 months before I left Singapore and to date I am away for about 1.5 years and its finally out. I was still asking him about it during my last trip back. From the proto type quality, it really seems not bad.

I share similar sentiments. I am someone who is leaning more towards the UE sound as well. I have tried the westone, um3x, UE10TF and the shures, i have to say that the china customs really sound amazingly good, good control on bass with a nice balance mids and highs. I like speakers, and if if i have to choose i would go for headphones as well, but this pair of customs is seriously tempting. Worth considering.

ACtually google doesn show me what i need to see. i want to look at the extension of the band. anyone have that, by the way i have look at google and couldn't find a picture of that.

So sorry to dig up this old thread, but can someone show me some picture of the headphones in more details, in areas like the extension of the heaphones, the cup and the cushion.

I used a 8 w tube amp to drive it, not strong enough. My t amp was actually doing quite well.

just got my bijou board, but will be leaving sg soon. Heady u have any idea how long this built would take till casing this up, from sourcing stuff to completing
