  7. Yes they might also have the pads since they sell Grado though I don't know which place would be cheaper. The 414 would be cheapest I bet.
  8. You can try either Jaben or Stereo Electronics.
  9. While it's true that it's legally binding, usually people do not sue over such a small sum for which the costs of fighting is not worth. If you want to take that advise, it's at your own discretion. From experience a lot of things happen under the table. As with the army. the rule about do but don't get caught. So I leave you to decide how you want to take that.
  10. Yes, this can be the cause as with the Creative Megaworks 550.
  11. From what I understand, a true line out can have loud volumes ie high voltage. It depends on the DAC. Though it may be loud, it may not be able to provide the current draw required by headphones or earphones because it's not supposed to be going through some buffer or amplifier. It's meant to be the input to a high impedence amplifier. As I understand of the ipod, it's not a true line out. If you want a true line out on the ipod, you will have to send it for the iMod by Red Wine Audio. http://www.redwineaudio.com/iMod.html
  12. I recall heat shrinks to have a contraction ratio of 3:1 at the most so far so if the cable you're trying to shrink over is no more than 2mm in diameter, your mini stereo plug has to be at most 6mm thick for the shrink to go over. I doubt they are that small.
  13. Yes, usually so but when you do it under table...
  14. Sounds like the normal price. bluetin.com sells it for 84 Sing. You can try buying from them instead and they are in the dealer section of this forum.
  15. A job agency is easiest. Try to find those with only 1 month of contract or the shorter the better... Then when it's close enough to 1 month to break the contract without any penalty, ask your boss if it's possible to have a contract directly with the company in order to draw more pay... Then that should earn you your 325.
  16. It's a pretty much known fact that the ipod has average sound quality. The 1g shuffle can provide enough drive for most earphones and headphones. Some people say the only good ipod was the 1g ipods. I can't say whether that's true or not since I've never heard that. Many people prefer an iaudio x5l these days for sound quality. Bass could be weak because of not enough drive like someone said but the ipod is just plain weak. I have a 3g ipod myself. Just to add... that's why there exist the imod ipod by redwine. They modify 4g and 5g ipods to have very good sound. True line out if I'm not wrong. I've heard one before and I was quite surprised at the quality.
  17. Those at sunshine plaza are usually taiwanese bootlegs. Only get them if you don't mind quality.
  18. Not necessary. You can use a tone generator to generate pink noise or just play your fave tracks. It'll be better to use lossless as some of the frequency response is loss when you use a lossy format.
  19. Probably cos he's busy or he doesn't believe in virtual conversations. If you go down to his shop, you'll find him to be a nice person.

  21. I think this place makes sense. I don't have much equipment. Only have a 3G iPod, Xtra X-1 portable amp, Alessandro Music Series 1 and an OVC TC20 which I've yet to change. School term would be nice. You can contact me at 98383625.
