  1. This Chazz looks suspicious and it's not up on the Opera/Consonance websites as well. Sure it's from Opera Consonance? Or is it a "OEM" product trying to ride on Opera Consonance's reputation.
  2. Not too much stuff though, although you can get the CD3K for about US360.
  3. Audio Cubes has opened another online store specifically for audiophile/hi-fidelity products. Check them out: Audio Cubes 2
  4. Fluke 19 about S$120 at NUS (this is what I heard) Fluke 96 costs alot more, a few hundred dollars.
  5. Get the electronics students to purchase. They do mass orders at cheap cheap price. Use it for their lab experiments.
  6. I will check back in office and tell you tomorrow. I've got around 6 models in office to play with. With that price range, choices may be few and far between.
  7. Try to get someone from NUS to get it from you. It's much much cheaper!
  8. Well done, Clarence. Avery nice, detailed review. I've been busy with work lately and didn't have time to write out my review of the Cayin. Guess what? I've not touched my headphones for 2 weeks. I'm starved! Iksey: Getting it is troublesome cause it's only available overseas, to be more exact, China. IIRC, there's no online order available, strictly brick 'n' mortar. BTW, Spark Audio (parent company of Cayin) has very good customer service. I'd tried to get the torodial transformer shield for tomcat of head-fi and eventually, Spark decided to ship it to Germany by Fedex for free. Perhaps you may want to try if Spark is willing to ship over to Singapore. Free shipment however is very unlikely.
  9. Dynamic Range : 96dB without HDCD ; 102dB with HDCD You can get 122dB with 24/192kHz DAC.
  10. Asia Sound is the distributor and the prices are better compared to Hung brothers.
  11. Just try lah. Anyway the K100 are very well run-in.
  12. help me too! I like the headphone stand!
  13. AKG K100 can be found at HMV and heard with the Nakamichi player available throughout HMV.
  14. Nice work Ablaze! BTW, how long did it take for Farnell to deliver?
  15. I guess the majority of caps are placed at the outboard regulators.
  16. Robert is a very nice guy, never harsh. Give him a buzz!
  17. Good choice! Anyway, since both companies now impose delivery charges unless minimum order value exceeded, there's not much difference.
  18. Ablaze: Get used to it (RS). From my previous encounters, I would say that they (RS) sucks big time. Wrong billing, late deliveries, F.U. attitude. Not only personal orders, corporate accounts as well.
  19. What did you use for the hookup wires?
  20. Isn't that a Grace 901 underneath the MPX3?
  21. Excerpts from John Marks' review "The 901's essential sonic characteristic was refreshingly rich and full-bodied, without being sludgy or lacking detail." "... its circuit is based on a telecommunication current-feedback amplifier chipset that can drive five miles of copper wire ..." " The 901 is built like a brick, is quiet as a mouse, and is very relaxing to listen to."
