    Shure

hi, understand that Ban Leong will cease as a distributor cum service ctr for Shure earphones. Is that to say Grandtech will provide after-sales services (eg, one-to-one exchange for faulty products within warranty period) with Shure products?
  2. lol. for sure i can't even listen to anything higher than 17kHz, even in pin-drop silence and volume cranked all the up.
  3. just curious, typically i see some manufacturers spec their freq response in excess of the theoretical limits, while i see some other quote the rolloff at 18kHz or thereabouts. are some designing their stuffs for dogs/cats while others adopt a more practical approach?
  4. hmmm, 100pcs is too much. maybe can share with another person.... can you PM me the place to sell? thanks.
  5. philips contact cleaner. works for me everytime to remove tarnished surfaces on RCA plugs & connectors. sidetrack a bit, where to get those rubber caps to protect unused RCA/3.5mm/S-video jacks from oxidation? hard ones i know SLT basement got carry, but prefer those rubber ones
  6. some tubeamps when powering the low-impedance headphones, (eg, 32 ohms or lower) are more susceptable to microphonics. at higher impedance not audible at all.
  7. Have her album, but somehow, listen for a while and chuck it aside most of her songs are rather similar, so quite diff to remember which is which....
  8. Try Norwegian soprano, Sissel Kyrkjebø... very nice. http://www.sissel.net/ or Eliane Elias, jazz pianist singer, similar to Diana Krall... BTW she's coming to town for a one-night concert at Esplanade One-night only performance Saturday 14 Mar 2009... $58*, $88**, $118 Concessions: Limited concessions for students, NSF and senior citizens: $40* and $60** http://www.esplanade.com.sg/whats_on/progr...lings/index.jsp
  9. By Mediterranea, track name is Andalucia, album name is Tesoro Escondido.
  10. inspired by the design at qables. at a small fraction of the price of the below PM u the parts cost.
  11. here is a picture of my DIY LOD. Thanks to Morgan for the tips on his website. Parts used iPod dock connector from SE Neutrik RCA connector 3mm black snakeskin iPod dock Y-splitter Canare 4-way & 2-way microphone cable some heat shrink tubings Silver solder Araldite epoxy glue all can be bought from one-stop SLT except the Y-splitter from Qables. use slow-setting (12-hour) Araldite glue to close up the Y-splitter halves & dock shells gives a very strong bond and dries clear. had great fun doing my first piece... will do a few more different ones... next one in line will be a 3.5mm stereo minijack to 2 RCA cables... hehehe the LOD cables connected to my tube headamp... ;p
  12. hotel costes not really cheap, nice packaging though....somemore won't really classify them as SQ cds... Boney James, Dave Koz
  13. I got a few of his albums... and his chinese works, the famous Yellow River Song...
  14. Lang Lang is also nice. his performance on Rachmaninov piano concertos
  15. the iTunes store is upgrading all their music to iTunes+ with higher quality (256kbps AAC) without DRM anymore. no more limitations on the transfer of music but they embed your email inside. so they can track and trace...
