  2. buy a SOHA board and transfer all the parts there, easier to case it.. simple!!
  3. this one for you heady, posts:888
  4. wow.. kross.. that's capacitve ground coupling. used in medical equipment..
  5. haha..loop is learning fast.. anyway.. ur buzz might be due to grounding prob.(pot to amp to rca) if your amp only picks up noise when the pot is turned to certain degree, then it is most likely grounding problem.
  6. Hi heady.. i faced the same problem before, just tell you that it is definitely not mainly caused by transfomer.
  7. interested ah?? let me find out other products too..
  8. Check this out if you can read chinese. DIYEDEN I think it is an external sound card. but the price is damn cheap. cost only RMB275!!! http://shop.jdlaser.com/wareshow.asp?wid=104392
  9. Hello folks, seems like there are many USB DAC these while. Just curious what is your comfortable price range of having such add on to your PC/MAC for best possible audio experience. And hopefully we can feedback to the manufacturer that we want something cheaper!! thanks.
  10. wow.. looks good. but does it come with original box? are you the first owner? how old is this baby? thanks.
  11. hmm...that's interesting.. lift cable anyway, it's innovative and skills that enable good DIYer to use whatever he can find to achieve fanstastic sounding amp.. not necessary to use exotic and expensive teflon silver or whatever to impress, but sound so so only... 2 cents... i like your style.. digi01, always use some rare cable in ur amp, your military grade cable is good.. thanks.
  12. hey heady, pls tell me how can i collect board from u.. thnaks
  13. PSU is on baord isnt it? i can see a rectifier and RC stage and regulator
  14. haha..nakedtoes, do you want to carry an umbrella with solar panel and walking around.... anyway this idea is interesting.. may be can try use ur shoe to charge.. kinetic energy..
  15. Qsilver, you just got ur ticket to join the DIY master club.. haha.. tt amp looks so ...funky.. can guess ur style..hehe..
  16. board is going to ship out soon.. Edwin pls give ur address to digi01. thanks.
  17. two Opamp, with what looks like a single JFET biased Class A. two voltage regulators, with what looks like a dual rail power supply. lots of Wima MKP 0.1uF/160V caps with what looks like a crossfeed circuit, or a CRC filter, perhaps? yet i have idea the the use of the 8 TO-220 parts below the RCA jacks. mind to explain what exactly did you do? looks like an unbuffered headamp. hey doc, tt's what excatly I thought, with the active components count, not too complicated. the circuit looks more like CRC to me, as crossfeed generally has more resistor than caps, if i m not wrong.
  18. hi mychew, long time no see. where've u been? drop me a msg when u free, let's go for coffee..

  21. hello DIY friends, need to ask you guys, especially those experience ones, what is the major difference in term of sound quality between the 2. There're many types of IC buffer out there, more popular ones are BUF643, HA5002, While discrete buffer, we have Diamond buffer, Class A, AB, B buffer, and MOSFET buffer. so please tell me whay have you used and tell me the sound quality. Thanks.
  22. wow..looks neat and tidy!!! but still far from the WOW effect.. suddenly have this thought, since many of us are ordering the board. May be it's time to have a DIY competition??? first ever DIY competiton in sgheadphones.net. may be can ask some local dealer to sponsor some good tubes as Prizes. in the same time we can strecth our DIY spirit + spirit of excellence. sounds good? anyone?
