i have only heard the few famous tunes by these guys like to listen to some of the seminal albums from these bands rather want to avoid compilations i have "best of" albums from deep purple and queen, and although they're good, it just doesn't sound cohesive, plus once i have these albums, not likely to delve deeper here are the bands led zepplin AC/DC pink floyd black sabbath u can recommend me bands other than those on the list too put down the album name and why it's that good for e.g. i was told that pink floyd's "dark side of the moon" is a great piece of work, but i don't really know why

first things first, the $99 offers were all sold out by the time i reached there [around 8pm plus] also, i didn't really check out the JBL, harman kardon and infinity stuff [not really interested] prices [let's get this part over with first] DT131-$49 DT131TV-$89 DT231-$99 DT531-$199 DT831-$319 DT250-$299 DT770-$399 DT990-$499 DT880-$599 had a chat with albert, sales & marketing manager of peak fusion. he knows about the sgheadphones forum too, and follows it quite closely. [we are not alone] he mentioned Mackie and Rameish during our conversation too. headphones comparo took the opportunity [i.e. noisy environment] to try out the closed headphones, namely DT250, DT770 and DT231 note that i listened to these phones for only a short while DT231 cups barely covered my ears didn't really listen to it after that DT250 snug fit provides better isolation compared with DT770 or DT231 nice bass DT770 not as tight a fit as DT250 less isolation perhaps as a result of above treble seems a little more pronounced

me interested in the S$99 tuner searched thru google but results were inconclusive seems tu940 is not bad, but tu950 [i assume is the successor] doesn't have much reviews me still thinking of denon's tu260l mkii [haven't seen it in sg]

maybe we should come out with something like a "press pass" then we can go to such shows/tradefairs and take nice close-up pics of equipment and "other stuff"

i had the same "staring" experience with my SR60 but the main problem was the zero isolation and bulky cable now using compromised solution of MX500 ultimate would be etys, i think

HD280... closed headphones should be good for outside use, if one can bear the looks one gets from other ppl how's the isolation?
