doubt any SACD players can output dsd streams. there are but you have pay a lot for proprietory designs for their transport and dacs. normal dacs do not accept dsd streams. dvd audio uses pcm stream i think? same as normal cds. some dacs do support dvd audio. have you heard of the ART DI/O? it has been reviewed favourably by many on net. very cheap dac but has 1/4 inch jacks instead of RCA and has 7volts output. normal cd players output 2v. most people mod them and there are modding services on net too.

from my very short term sampling with them, they are like smaller beyers 770. heavy but good bass with recesses in midrange. not much soundstage. easy to drive. but for most music i prefer the grados. grado 60 sounds more balanced to me with a very nice midrange. the 60 or 80 might be about the same price as the v6 or 7506.

actually KGSS refers to a electrostatic amp that Kevin Gilmore designed. Should be known as gilmore dynamic amp!

wow I didnt know those cd3000s are so huge. the AKG k1000 looks puny in comparison. sony must have believed that big=value for money. the r10s were huge too. or is it smaller than the cd3000?
