Northern Oak 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2003 Raving review, amp tested using HD600. Can't remember much except that the reviewer liked it alot. In fact, this amp was reviewed twice. Once by John Atkinson but couldn't remember the 2nd reviewer. Perhaps I will read up tonight and post it here later. Almost got me saving up for it but then realised that the DAC does not upsample/oversample. It's only locks onto the frequency of the incoming digital signal ad sends it to the for conversion. The amp can be easily switched for 110V or 220V operation. Remembered that it can barely drive a K1000.
Northern Oak 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2003 (edited) Excerpts from John Marks' review "The 901's essential sonic characteristic was refreshingly rich and full-bodied, without being sludgy or lacking detail." "... its circuit is based on a telecommunication current-feedback amplifier chipset that can drive five miles of copper wire ..." " The 901 is built like a brick, is quiet as a mouse, and is very relaxing to listen to." Edited September 8, 2003 by Northern Oak
