My impression of the Ultrasone HFI-650 headphone, it sound better direct out from the PCDP than through the headphone amp.

higher impedance does not mean lower volume.Take grados for example.

75ohm isn't considered high impedance, is it? Then what about those in the regions of 300ohm?! Sensitivity plays a part too.

Actually I think most importantly is the senstivity, i.e. db/mw, for volumes that is.

2) Senn HD280

3) sony 7506 (but dont know where to buy)

3) AKG 271 or 501 (dont know how much)

4) beyer 250 or 770 (dont know how much)

 

ONLY have 300 to spend...

 

can someone recommend me wat to get?

OT: Brilliant idea Tenson! But I'd prefer if they can engineer a human memory card slot which we can play directly into us thus negating the need for any of this malarky!

 

K_B: the K501 is one hell of a hard pair of cans to drive not sure if the CMOY can handle it (unless your try of course) plus it is an open design.

The AKG271S and 501 are both around $250 at Asia Sound, Adelphi.
