I think he'll break in about a month or so! RKV would definitely hit the spot but will need an impedencer for the CD3K. Maybe CARY?

I'd never be able to afford an RKV man. a 2nd-hand EMP's about the most I could stretch with some borrowing.

Based on the current poll, we just have to wait till 3 May for ablaze's new amp. I guess his choices may likely be:

 

1. Gilmore V2 (SS)

2. Corda HA2 - dun think he has any use for a Pre-Head (SS)

3. CEC amp - saw at head-fi, all components & boards are in blue (SS)

4. microZOTL personal amplifier (Tube)

5. ASL Twinheads (Tube)

6. X-Can V3??? (Tube)

 

I think he's not very impressed with the tube sound, so I guess it's more of SS for the next amp.

i'm thinking that will be best. getting a 4B is risky as there's just soooo little interest on head-fi. i did a search, there's not been even ONE ER4B put on sale

Sorry the date should be the 3rd of June instead of 3rd May. Typo error. Stay tuned. He's lurking around ebay so I'm not surprised if a new amp comes along anytime soon.
