Tubes amp

Recommended Posts

Okay ... i measure the wrong point... plate volt lowest i can get is 47v. Reversed my volume pot. Not sure whether my trimmer is soldered correctly.. It is just connect the center pin and the 2 either pins.

if u reduce the trimpot value, voltage at the plate should drop

if u increase the trimpot resistance, the plate voltage should increase

did u put fixed resistor besides trimpot?

did u wire the trimpot correctly? out of the 3 legs, how did u wire them?

that's how I put the jfets for my 2 unit, too

but there's another connection, have u connected it? the top jfet S leg to the lower jfet's D leg

yep for the jfets even for the D to D too.

Eg The trimmer i connect the center pin to the left pin and connect the cap to it and out it goes to the tube socket and gnd. The left over pin i connect it to 560 and out it goes to the same tube socket pin.

huh?

why tube connect direct to ground also? then your trimpot is practically useless. that's why your voltage not changing when u turn the trimpot

and one more thing, D is NOT connected to D

D at the top, goes to 60V line

D of the lower jfet connect to S of the top jfet

read the schematic properly tongue.gif
