240v side. Where ya put your fuse... I use a fused plug take out the 13A and put in the 0.2A in. You tried 2227? how does it compare with 2134

I did try 2227 instead of 2134 (or the equivalent 2132)

like no difference. 2227 has slower slew rate, but the tube has even a slower slew rate. so yah, the change makes no difference

 

2227 and 2134 have the same max current output.

I havent tried any op-amp with higher current capability yet as with my circuit they'll introduce higher dC offset (200mV if I put in 2227)

 

so right now stick with 2132 in my slot first

 

I'm thinking of something else now smile.gif

 

EDIT: my fuse is at the neutral side, just before the trafo

ur way of doing is good. save the money buying that fuse holder haha

wink.gif I still wondering, this tube sound compressed or it is me hearing the wrong thing.... My PPA with opa627 sound with more soundstage with MS-1. Just now i almost wanna fired up my browndogs, den i cannot find any opa134.. I always tot i got some leftover... Edited by Kippei

the mullard will cost 50 dollars

hi squalle, what power supply u use? diy? i think the psu might be giving me the buzz. i tried using 2 x 9v batteries for a try and they don't give me any buzz or hum at all.

I think you've misread it

 

and no, we cant use batteries or DC output wallwart for SOHA

errm, need AC to get the voltage doubler working

I got another idea for the dablok.. is to make it a seperate plug module, since almost every household item use a transformer. Whenever we need to use a specialised application. Just plug into that plug. But i got no idea how much current it can handle...
