matbon0013 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2003 I have found that some CD's in my CD collection have some slight mould deposits on them. Would like to know if there is any cleaning agents out there that can clean them without harming the CD itself. What do you guys use?
Mackie 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2003 (edited) Mat, avoid all the so-called cd cleaners and stay away from any with alcohol content. Water is fine and better still, use distilled water like most vinyl lovers. For real mouldy cds, I mix water and Kiwi "Kleen Glass" and this diluted solution will clean your cds to spick and span. Anti-static properties of the latter may be beneficial to improving sound quality too. Edited July 7, 2003 by Mackie

jasonhanjk 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2003 Use DI water from my factory should have better result because very pure. WHo want I can tapao some back???
adhoc 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2003 the container you tapao it back in will probably contaminate it. anyway i like using spit to clean my cds. the miniature micro-organisms contained within my spit negate any electrostatic differences over the surface of the cd by virtue of their ability to move and absorb/release ions. also what i last ate will leave it's indelible signature upon my disc, making music listening a truly multi-sensory experience. thus, my cds become more musical. 50ml of spit now going for $600, very cheap already, -%20 in support for the great singapore sale. come on, do yourself and your ears a favour! note: what i eat before i produce the spit can be requested.
