Mackie 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2003 Chris, another way to tell if the cans provide enough isolation for your needs is the spec carrying dbA unit. The higher the number, the greater is isolation. I'll let the others chip in on the choice of cans as I have very limited experience with those in the budget range (no pun intended). I use EX-70 and would have recommended this but not in your case as U'd mentioned.
yongchris 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2003 thanks mackie. I did really like the EX71(???) for the isolation or 51(for isolation and cheap cheap price ) but I hated the feeling of having something stuck in my ear. even the mx500s cause me pain after 30mins or so of usage and I've been using them for more than 2 years already. Just can't get used to them. I'll have a look at the spec as you mentioned. Chris
Mackie 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2003 Chris, how about switching the silicone buds to smaller sizes to maintain comfort? Isolation reduces on a looser fit though.
