The usual choices,

1. Westone UM1

2. UE superfi 3 studio

3. Shure E2g or c

4. Beyer DTX50

5. Audio Technica ATH-CK7

I presume since you asked for "good" bass, it's not necessary a lot of bass so best for you to drop by to try to determine which has the best bass quality and isolation you need.

what about for half of your budget but will sound very good?

Check Crossroad Mylar 1 X3 at Jaben at Adelphi... http://www.jaben.net/

This is my highend budget IEM... (I'm not kidding... and don't be fooled with the price...)

Might as well get the OVC T20 (Mylar 1 X3), OEM company for crossroad and best thing is it's cheaper. Durability can be quite an issue, send mine to Jaben for exchange twice due to driver problem.

hmm... KSC75 modded and recabled is hard to beat by the IEM with the same value...

I guess well rated clip-ons could sound just as good, but they definitely won't isolate half as well as a well-inserted iem. So if you'll be using it mainly for portable use, the iem will sound much better.

150's enough for a decent iem i suspect... :))

Get the Denon AH-C700 from bluetin.com. Read alot of positive remarks abt them in headfi. Too bad price for the denon has shot up in bluetin.

bass is just too thumping on those, i would stay away unless you're a basshead!

try the etymotics er6i + foamie combination

affordable and decent (~$50-60USD)

edit: oops didnt read you like 'head banging music', try the foamies regardless! great isolation.

true true

unforunately those dont isolate (leak sound in fact!) : :cans:
