So how do the Bose 901a sound? How deep does the bass go? Do the Skullcandy compare favorably to the Beyer 880?

901s not accurate in terms of sound analytics, but groundshaking bass, open and wide sound (array config), equalizer needs to be setup correctly and speakers placed according to their recommendations. This array sound lets you move around the room freely unlike critical speakers that make you sit in the middle like a dunce.

 

Skulls Aviator & MixMaster Mike can never beat a Beyer 880 or 770, they can beat the beats though amped or unamped.
