ical 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 (edited) @Calvin, impressive setup. would love to audition the power of D7000+Yammy. My Humble Home Setup. Bro, you're welcome to drop by for an audition. Nice tube amp you've there. It's not how costly or legendary your rig is, it's how well you set it up. Yeah that's one cool lamp. Very nice CDP too. And a lot of attention put into the resonance issues. Lemme go get my camera... Thanks guys. I like that both the CD player and Philip lamp too. Look nice and most important, works great! Vibration is always the killer so I'm a believer of isolation. It play a very big part in the performance of components. With proper isolation, you'll surprise how good your rig is. My favorite isolation product is TAOC. Their stuff works like magic. Highly recommended thought price is on the high side but worth every penny. http://www.taoc.gr.jp/taoc/insulator.html#01 i have ad700, the bass a bit weak, what kind of amp shud i consider for home use? The Novo is a good choice with a touch of warm. Very value for money for it's price. http://www.gspaudio.co.uk/headphoneamps/no...neamplifier.htm Edited February 7, 2009 by ical
jojo_b2 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2009 @hellfire. I can picture you njoying your rig already the pairing of the HD580 and the Millet Max is very good based on my impression on the Millet Max with my 650. As long as you enjoy listening it keeps you away from POISON bigtime. I'm actually listening alot more now rather than doing hunting. I was scared to post after the first one was a killer already. This is my HUMBLE Rig. Any way It's been a while and my home rig has changed a bit. The new addition to the lot. =)

Ya, been waiting for someone to say that. All of you here are most welcome to drop by. But beware, hifi is super poisonous. Once you jump in, there's no turning back. It much more fun than headphone rig as everything little thing play a part. Honestly, no matter how good a headphone rig (I've even heard a multi million system in Japan recording studio. Both electrostatic and dynamic), it still can't replace hifi in every aspect. However, I do enjoy both setup. Each has it's own kind of presentation which give me a different experience in my music.
