yeah the chassis design looks crude but it is acoustically superior to folded steel ones... im just bowled over by how thick the panels are and the nice Chord like feet...

Neutrik one is good, as for adaptor the ones that comes with grado cans...
-
Use 6.5mm female and buy an adaptor 6.5mm phono plugs is a pro audio standard but not the 3.5mm one so i seriously doubt they make good 3.5mm ones.

Very sorry guys but im cancelling my order, found a local shop selling them at similar prices and I want one asap... once again apologies... -
Mmm everybody learns Sounds like no passive pot for cans...
-
XLR standard is 4.5v if i remember...
-
Isn't Watt = Voltage x Current? Higher the voltage rating, the more current there is on tap as with a pot between the cans and cd player output, voltage is reduced.

Haiyah make me excited for nothing

I'd suggest avoiding silver plated copper hookup wires (save for nordost but why would you want to cut it up!?). Especially the belden teflon insulated one. Its cheap but bright sounding...
-
lengcm, Where did you get the chassis form? Looks like a nice chassis for all sorts of other amps, pres, etc
-
Ram, Having higher voltage output means more current on tap too, that was what's lacking in your experiement. Low power = muddy sound.
-
The only viable candidate i know of was my old Denon as it uses 2 opamps per channel for buffering. I was reccomended by a friend who owned the same player to use a passive pre you see... So basically only cdplayers that output MORE than the standard 2v got chance...

Don't look like much save for the fact that it uses a micro comp chip than regular amps. Could be just one of those new digital pre amp chip that has enough drive to be used as a headphone amp or has a headphone amp within it... But the circuitry already has a preamp... hmm...

*Looks at his two nice 750ml PUMP plastic bottles... * Wah lau im getting cancer! Count me in too! -
Looks like its an amplifier. You'd need a preamp for it. If you have a good pre amp this is a great component compared to a standalone amp with volume control... Banana plugs look like high level in?
