  1. eh...Zen Micro Photo? I don't quite trust Creative's QC, though.
  2. Agree with LaoMao...I find Sennheisers having a comfortable feeling, laid back music. Other than that, I wouldn't say it has any specialities.
  3. You get it from LHS, right?
  4. Erm...I hope I don't sound silly, but how do you put the tubing on the soldering points? I mean, is it you place the tubing unto the wire, solder the wire to the point, then just push the tubing into place? And also, do they help alot?
  5. Sorry, just making an example...know nuts about batteries... Just asking then...will this affect the circuit in any way? I mean, beside providing the ability to swap with power-hungry opamps... So basically, I can swap the 9v with 2 AA 4.5v rechargeables? Also how long typically does this last?
  6. Don't know if this has been asked before, please forgive my repeat then. Does rechargeable 9v's last longer (as in maintain proper operation of cmoy2) than non-rechargeables? Also, is there any other combination of batteries that would last longer than either of these 2? (Like 3 X 3v?)
  7. Hd 280 Pro? With your amp, I don't think think the 64ohm impedance is a problem. Overall a decent can, with some nice bass after burn-in. It's closed though, so sweaty ears might be a problem.
  8. Question about the battery...how does one recharge it? Or rather, is it compatible with the normal GP 9v battery recharger? Else how?
  9. When did you buy it? The md33 burn-in after a few months or so of use, though I've only noticed a tighter, deeper, bass.
  10. Lol. Disregard, the main mix volume of my 0404 was just too high. Kudos to grado details!
  11. I went on vacation for a day or so, and so happens my brother uses my sr80 to play call of duty 2, if any of you know what that is. So I was listening to a jamie cullum cd, and I heard distinct crackling at certain tones.... I hope for the best....
  12. Ermm...the hd 280 pro senns did quite well for me when I was on a plan. It doesn't cut out the noise totally...but it's decent enough. Just that you have to equalise pressure in the ears more often (and people were wondering why I was 'yawning' so much...)

Well...fyi, Hung Bro has them going at about 75+? Around that range. Oops! Forgot, no discussions here. Deep apologies moderator!
  14. It isn't in-ear is it? Perhaps the bass needs some burn-in, like the sharps.
  15. Actually, you can find flux cleaner. It's rather common in SLS. I found FLU fluxcleaner from Electrolube at Sunlight electronics next to Kaishin (or is it? Can't remember). Anyways, you spray this unto the board and wait a few seconds, observing that the flux gets dissolved. Then take a wet sponger and wipe. Repeat if necessery. I think the method should work with normal alcohol, no?
  16. Lol, first time trying out some beyers. Tried a few, and from what I can tell, it provides a really nice wide soundstange. And of course, soft comfy pads
  17. Lots of high end stuff, is what I can say. Overall an excellent meet.
  18. Eh? I was of the opinion that all alkaline rechargables need to be fully discharged, and that the only batteries without memory effect is that of Li-ion batts...Ah well, rusty memory Can you troubleshoot the board? Hmm...my poly's just starting, so I won't be as free. Hmmm...PM me when's conveniant for you to help, and I'll see if I'm free too. Thanks, anyways
  19. Wow, 6 -7v, and it's dead? Hmm...that what kind of batteries does one use? Nimh rechargables require a full discharge before going to charge, right?
  20. Yeah, it's alkaline, or at least I think it should be. Why? Need to go borrow a good camera to take. Erm...nevermind about the drilling, take it one step at a time and just get the darn thing to work.
  21. Hmmm, thanks koss, at least now I know it's not that it's fried or something. Ok, will stick to opa2132. Checked with a multimeter, voltage of the 9v is still quite high, around 7 - 8, so I don't think it's the battery. Is there a possibility that I might have burned the pot? Perhaps I heated the pad or the legs for too long. Also, might a dirty IC socket have any impact? In which case, how could I clean it?
  22. Lol, sounds rather huge for headphone. Maybe you should go speakers first? Don't forget, you have to design the circuits and drivers in such a way that it can fit your head, and still get the sound you want. Some proffessional help, me thinks you might need.
  23. 1. After testing, I jumped for joy Then I tried changing opamps. Opamps I used : 2228AP, 2227AP, and 2132AP. Also, LM6171 and LM6181 for the ground opamp. Gain setting is as first page, no change of resistor values. Source: Zen Micro Output: Generic earphones Battery: 9v Sony dry. Connecting wires: Multi-strand thin copper (the ones you can find on a normal stereo cable) Solder: 60/40 Flux Cleaner: Electrolube's FLU Soldering iron: Antex spade tip Pot: Green Alps, as of first page Will try to take, but I don't exactly have a digital camera on hand at home.
