  1. hmm... Never really notice that, cause usually the amp volume I set to 50-70%. So most probably if true to what tbln have said, it become a non-issue.
  2. hmm... Think I will be ordering from Todd for the Cardas HPI. Price is 18USD after shipping while cablepro is around 21USD. And hearing good reviews from the other thread, so its a no brainer for me.
  3. Thanks for the other alternatives to buy. But I think I will wait and see how much is the shipping will cost from cablepro. And after that I will compare the price difference and see where to buy from.
  4. Beyond - Hai Kuo Tian Kong The live version in concert they play after vocal died. Can't recall properly, should be 1991 I think.
  5. I've never tried any other IC other than the stock IC of PA2V2 which is supplied. But think should be ordering the Cardas HPI in anycase. But thanks for your input! hmm... So it improve abit of the mids on my A900 I guess.
  6. I think a nikon 12-24 is the best bet. I seen some pros/advanced photographer took scenary shots using that lens. Very good, both the photographer's skill and lens. If you have more money or don't mind 2nd hand, the 17-35 or 17-55 f/2.8 is a great choice too. If I have money, I would get the 17-35 though. Film or digital also can use.
  7. Hi, What do you think of the Canare Starquad with F12 plugs VS Cardas HPI? Would like to ask for an opinion from you. And how much would the Canare Starquad with F12 plugs cost? I'm currently using AT A900, Grado SR80 and PA2V2. Thanks!
  8. It cost more than a PA2V2!!! Shiro MS08th, a cable upgrade is essential. The stock ones are not good. Yep. Thinking of getting the 6" Cardas HPI IC. Currently enquiry on the shipping stuffs at cablepro.
  9. By the way how much will the headband costs? Also how to customize it to SR80? New to this field, not sure how to do it. Will be thankful if someone would teach me on it.
  10. I also bought the PA2V2 around 1+ month ago. Feel the stock IC he given with is as what some other users have said. Have static when you move/touch it at times. Feel like getting the Cardas IC though.
  11. After looking at your reviews. I feel like also test A900 and the AD900, but not sure whether to get another open cans since I got a Grado SR80 already. But heard open cans are better than the closed ones. Will go down Stereo Electronics maybe next month to audition it too.
  12. Check your PM for the prices. Feel free to bring your portable down to try them out, please call to check stock availability on the day you plan to drop by. Hi, Would like to know your price for the A900. Thanks!
  13. Just went to Hung Bros to check on the Audio-Technical A900 cans. The uncle told me it costs $285 after GST. And the senn 414 replacement pads are out of stock. Sigh.
  14. I take the oasis - be here now album from you.
  15. Guns N' Roses - November Rain (Live)
  16. nakedtoes: LOL! Maybe I can get your Grado SR80 if in good condition and acceptable price for both side! papaya86: Cut short a little maybe, but cut till normal short length doubt so, metalhead! haha!
  17. papaya86: mp3 player, a creative muvo^2. Though currently still waiting for the replacement set, the previous one the head/earphone jack is loose, so waiting for the new replacement set for the meantime now. But I will also use on my PC at late night to watch movies/animes/music. But by this rate I'm more and more interested in Grado SR80. XD! But think the earliest I can buy is most probably next month or June, need to save up for it. But why I prefer a earphones at the first place cause it's easier to handle/keep it and I have long hair for a guy that is, so using headphone kinda troublesome.
  18. hmm... Just checked out cnet reviews and their user reviews on some of the products mentioned here. Heard that Shure ones have decent-bad bass. A little don't feel like buying it already. But I think in the end I need to get a headphone for bass eh? Cause I also went to read Grado SR60 and SR80 reviews. Pretty good reviews and decent bass mentioned by users. And SR80 price is also the same as E2c, so if really doesn't have a good earphones with decent enough bass power, I need to get headphone I guess by the look of it.
  19. Thanks for all the replies. Currently I'm using a sennheiser MX400 for 1.5 year+, pretty a-okay. But I think should be the highs get a little too sharp when up the volume over 80% of the range. Not sure about on MX500, cause thinking the next earphone need to one step higher and better. Will check around for SHarp MD-33 and the Shure E2c. Been checking around some of the threads, see alot of good reviews for E2c and E3c. Anyways how good the difference between E2c and E3c? papaya86: Ya, my friend got lend me those albums just recently.
  20. Hi everyone. New user here. Would like you pros to recommend me a earphone with the budget of $100 to be able to produce good music listening to metal/rock and blues music. Specifically power/progressive/heavy metal, old school rock, guitar virtuoso and blues. Some bands examples. Power metal: Blind Guardian, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, Helloween, Sex Machineguns. Progressive metal: Dream Theater, Symphony X. Heavy Metal: Iron Maiden, Dio, Iced Earth, Onmyouza, Galneryus. Old school rock: Skid Row, Guns n' Roses, B'z. Guitar virtuoso: Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci. Blues: Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix No brands preference, but would like it to be earphones. If there is some other models that cost a little more than $100, but is damn worth it for the penny, I will consider too. Not rushing to buy one earphone now, so will check around the recommendation you guys said. Thanks alot!
