  1. The price is definitely an important factor. Also, as in all Westone IEMs, the fit is really comfortable.
  2. Saw it at audio house, at Liang Court. Not too sure if it is a U10 though. Also saw the E10 there.
  3. Shure is rarely used (I may be wrong here), as they don't really make customs, though many artistes use their personal monitor systems. Ultimate Ears and Westone customs are used really often, common models include the well-known UE-10, ES-3 and even UE-7 and ES-2
  4. Well, for many (not all though) of the Apple supporters, supporting Apple regardless of what they do is a definite must. That is, unless they start changing the designs of their players.
  5. Who or which band would you prefer?
  6. There is a "mini" review somewhere in the fourm.
  7. They also use the same drivers, if I am not wrong.
  8. Well, armature drivers are usually used for hearing aids (and more recently, IEMs). Dynamic drivers have a long history of being used in earbuds. Here's a short article from wikipedia Another short discussion can be found here, in our very own forum!
  9. Welcome to SGheadphones! Yay, new member!
  10. Really depends on your taste. Armature drivers need a really good seal though.
  11. A good seal is required for IEMs to shine. Well, the E500 has been listened to (though briefly) by members of head-fi, to much accolade.
  12. Bass usually gives music the "mood", whereas the vocals give it the "feel". Bass gives the tempo to the entire tune, and is usually something the listener goes for first. This is especially so for bassheads. Great bass is tight and fast, like that of IEMs (). Honestly, I really like the UM1's bass for the "tightness". Bad bass would be those which are flabby and uncontrolled, though I have no examples. The worst however, would be no bass at all.

Especially since the E4s aren't dual drivers. Only the Super fi. can beat it in terms of pricing. Can't really remember the current price, but it is the cheapest dual driver IEM around.

Wow, that's really low for a dual driver IEM. Hope it lives up to expectations though. Form looks rather like the ER serie, but with a better design in terms of colour.
  15. Heard that the E500 would be good for almost everything though. Knowing Shure though, it should be a great IEM for vocals.
  16. It's possible to use credit card, right? Most online retailers accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Bought track spikes from US without a hitch (waiting anxiously for shipping though )
  17. Interesting, but the sad thing is, you still need the speakers to make your own earphone. No instructions on how to make them, although it should be really difficult though.
  18. She was the one who picked the coupons. Nothing more to elaborate.

Well, that's definitely admirable. Can't wait for the review though.

Give them to me? On a more serious note though, don't jump the horses. The reviewer's review at headfi was posted on JAYS website, so I don't really trust it hundred percent, especially since it is all great stuff praising the d-JAYS. Listen before you leap.
  21. Don't really think this is the right sub-forum. You may get more replies if you post it in the protable audio section. Don't really get what you mean by "fit". If by "fit " you mean the sleeve (the rubbery part), you shpuld be able to et them at Jaben or Stereo Electronics. Not too sure whether CK7 sleeves are carried though.

Well, it really depends on whther they are ahead of schedule.

That'll most probably mean next year.
  24. Yay! The link works.

Looks really good, especially for a relatively new start-up. Sad though, that the quad driver was but a marketing gimmick. Imagine a "quad-driver universal in-ear monitor". It'll defintely draw attention away from the E500 and Super fi. triple X.
