I am currently using SR80 and MS2i, but will like to know how the SR225 and SR325i compares to MS2i. Is MS2i more like 225 or 325i?

I've never tried, but heard from a friend who did this mod. So i quote directly from him: "The sound became less airy but everything tightened up. The bass now have much more impact. Details are much better and clearer. The guitar strumping is much clearer and detailed. Its like ER4S details with stronger bass but of cos less isolation."

if you will wan to hear while on board, maybe noise cancellation headphones will be a better choice. Noise cancellation technologies cancel the constant low frequencies, like the air-con, engine noise etc. Thus will still enable you to hear ppl talking. For IEMs, it simply shut out everything..

After tryin quite a number of noise-cancellation headphones, i find that they sound muffled, boomy bass, usually with amplified volume when it is activated. Personally, i don even like Bose QC2, even though it has got quite a number of good reviews. Their noise cancellation technology is not fantastic, simply too overpriced. If you ask me, still prefer IEMs.

agree with newbie123... UM1 &HJE70 are entry level IEM, and will serve you fine with a direct connection to your ipod. However if you intend to get an amp, strongly suggest a better IEM like UM2, ER4 or E500...

i also like winamp... for the plugins, ease of use, skins, size...

U can get all these in MS1, not UM1... go to Jaben and try out both, u'll know what you'll like... you may also wan to consider SR80... I'm pretty sure no one will choose UM1 over MS1, unless they really wan IEM... or they simply don like grado/alessandro...

ipod wannabes does not care about sound.. only looks... maybe its Grado's effort to gain popularity?
