  2. Bought the SE Z600 on Sunday. Having loads of fun with it! My partner dropped her 8310 into a pail of water, so I passed her mine, which gives me plenty of reasons to get a new phone. How's that for an excuse?
  3. http://www.exhardware.com/reviews.php?Id=128 A review of this pair of earphones from the local Singapore Hardware Zone site. Look at the personalized casing. Cool!
  4. I have yet to try the Sharp MD33 on my MD recorder MD-MT888, 3-poles design. Perhaps I will give it a try tonight.
  5. Regarding the necklace, it's the former. No microphonics and it seals better than EX70, not sure about EX71.
  6. Yes, I have a pair since it was launched in Japan and I preferred it over the original and modified Sony EX70SL. Test System : Sharp DS-8 MD Player (Auvi 1-Bit Digital Amp) with Dolby Headphone Technology -> Sharp HP-MD33 Dolby Headphone set to Studio and Bass set at 0. One thing to note is that the mini-jack for the DS-8 has 4 poles instead of the usual 3 poles. In a 3-poles design, the poles carry the left, right and ground signals, so both the left and right channel would share the same ground. In the Sharp DS-8 design, the 4 poles carry namely left+,left-,right+,right- so the left and right channels are totally separated from each other from the digital amp output, much like a dual mono amp design. Thus what I experience through the earphones may not be exactly what you will be able to hear. Sound is full, detailed and clear while the soundstage is bigger than Sony. Vocals are slightly better on the Sony compared to Sharp as I preferred a slightly warmish sound. Bass is controlled better than the Sony and not boomy. The Sonys' bass is sluggish so I would preferred the Sharp's low end. I can't comment on the HF performance since I'm listening to MD, compressed through ATRAC technology, which processes heavily on the HF components.
  7. Did you use it with the DH Squares? You would hear more differences with 'em.
  8. If you are in Singapore, check out HMV, they're using the AKG 100 for discs sampling.
  9. Let me correct you ... it should be those lovely ladies!
  10. Fret not! Frames can be replaced FOC within warranty but even without warranty, you just need to pay S$30 to those lovely ladies working at the authorised agent and they will swap a new pair of frame for you. Over here, the agent resides at Stanley Street and you must visit them if you have the time. Replacing the lens would cost more, of course, probably around S$120+. Lotsa things to see, Oakley stuff and girls alike.
  11. I remember seeing them at Hung Brothers, Sim Lim Square 3rd floor.
  12. Thanks guys! I did see the D-EJ2000 many moons ago but it's rare to find them now. I also had a hard time trying to find the D-NE10 since it's only released in Japan.
  13. I'm looking for a Sony Portable CD Player, either D-EJ2000 or D-NE10. Anyone knows where I can find them (especially the D-NE10)? Thanks!
  14. Power Conditioners and Power Cords : S$900 Interconnects : S$700 Amp + Tubes : S$1000 Cans : S$700 Source : S$1100 Accessories/Tweaks : S$600 Total : S$5000 More to come? Definitely! Audio Nirvana : Priceless!
  15. Will try asking Robert/Spark Audio later. Hopefully he hasn't return back to his hometown for the festive season.
  16. Nice guy Rameish! Sadly, I wouldn't be able to attend the meet as I'm bringing my son for his 3rd month injections. Hopefully HPC will bring his though. Meanwhile, I'll check out the tubes you've mentioned above.
  17. Congrats Rameish, Keep me informed if you do intend to get the Ei Elite/Elite Gold, I might tag along. I'm looking for a pair of EL84s as a backup for my Amperex BBs. Have fun with the Cayin then. BTW, if you don't mind disclosing, how much did you pay for the Cayin? My cousin's getting interested about it too.
  18. hi all, Sorry but I wouldn't be able to make it for this Saturday's meet as I've to bring my son for his injections. Enjoy guys!
  19. Try calling Asia Sound (you can get the number thru the online yellowpages). They are the distributor for AKG products.
  20. Congrats Barradio! How I guess it? Barradio's office is 10 feet from headphonecrazy's.
  21. Barradio, I guess, he's been looking for a good source for quite a while.
