Wow, this thread sure has been busy... I think that a lot of people get caught up with comparing cameras that they forget to take pictures. Im sure this has been said over and over but alot of people just dont get it. Camera's just a tool, its the grey matter behind it that does the real picture taking. The mugshots look great Tropical, i like the whole theme/idea behind it. Red_Ryder, i dun think there's anyway unless u photoshop but that might ruin the whole picture. Another way would be to recompose so that the lights are not there in the background. U shud take things like that into consideration when u take pics. I think its quite a great shot. Sort of like a stark contrast to the face itself. N@Z, to each his own i say, sum get what that guy wants to portray and some dont. No real right or wrong to me.

I think the first one is technically there... but seems to lack sumthing i guess? Second one is my fav of the three, the colours just pop out. Just works for me great job! Third pic, i think the person in the middle kinda spoils the pic. if it were just the two, would have made for an interesting contrast shot.. black/white outfit kinda thing...

wow... impressive. i wonder how much this will set a person back. for something that small, it sure has a lot of upgrade options

The mrt shot is nice...i like yer b/w shot better tho tropical. Saw it in the CS forum N@Z, those vintage cars are awesome! Just wish i could have been there

Looking at the pics and some of the older rollsroyce/bently models reminds me of another automobile that i really like, the hotrod. Any hotrods over there in brunei? Sorry for the OT.. Beautiful shots, you couldnt get any closer for some closeup shots??

Yummy... On the contrary, i think the second one is the better of the two pictures. It has a certain mood or feel to it.

Well ive seen several variations, hold the camera upside down and bounce it off the floor or if the flash allows u to point it down u could do that as well.

Have you tried to bounce it off the floor?

Tropical, i like the last(4th) shot the best. It looks like very natural lighting because the whiteness in the plates dont look too 'bright' to me. Good buy

Im not really sure about microdrive but i do know that they are quite the battery suckers. Here is a thread i dug up on polarisers on the clubsnap forum. Hope it helps! Polariser help ps. seems u can do funky things if u reverse the circ.pl and get weird colours. hehe!

What circ,pl are u using? you should be getting as good or a better result unless the circ.pl is the problem?

N@Z, that is a VERY sharp shot at that focal range! Power of VR indeed. Tropical, U could blur the background if u wanted? Ive yet to try bracketing. Will probably try after my exams in 2 wks time. Will try a whole bunch of stuff as well... Im just counting the days...
