Favourite that I've heard so far(in order of preference): -beyer dt770 -Senn hd600 -AT w100 -beyer dt250 - senn mx500 Favourite has got to be dt770pro.. driven properly they have too much bass.. but out of my soundcard they have slightly less bass(less headache) . Senn hd600 which I heard yesterday , yeap I agree with rameish for the price.. they aren't worth it, but overall I find the senn is a very nice can.If hd580 can give 95% of it,I will get the hd580.

Is the hfi2000 a closed can?

malaysia, indonesia and brunie are still not that 'trend' oriented. They do have the cassetes and vhs still... I think they are quite cheap.. dirt cheap in comparison to original cds... maybe $5-8?

hm... in 2000 I did the same thing as you. I searched almost all music shops. None of them had. But there was this one shop which sells the cassette.. but it's very old collection. I was looking for like backstreetboys and all in cassette coz at that time I did not have my cd player yet.. And I thought cassette should still be around... considering indonesia and malaysia carries them.. sighz ...

did u buy it 2nd hand? or first hand? 2nd hand probably the first owner had already done something to the sony that sort of damaged it already. So it's like just waiting for its time.. But 1st hand.. it's very unlikely that headphones get this kind of problem. Seldom heard. Do check out with the sony anyway.,

why does the price jump for DT880? did the hungbros mark up their price? or what.. I don't think that can worth that much.. usually beyer.. I can say is around slightly more ex than hd600 only. maybe 500 is justifiable.

I got myself monster cable interlink 400 from hung bros for 70 I think... not bad.. using it out out my laptop to my amp.

Sennheiser mx500 is the way to go. I bet you would appreciate them more than any sony earbuds (including the e888 and ex70) They have fairly neutral sound, good bass,mid and sound unbelievable given it's $30 price tag.
