Gold Grados SR-325

Recommended Posts

I am thinking of buying the new version of MS2.

Go for it, the SR-325i sound very similar or close to RS-1. Only the RS-1 does slightly better on the lower and higher end of the music. cool.gif

the down side of the SR-325i is the weight of the headphone. no.gif

Wow that's a really gorgeous macro shot!

thanks w00t.gif

To those who had heard SR325, CD3K and DT880, which one is better?

U decide. Genre of music and prices are also deciding factors. My past experience was as such:

SR325 - bright (to be fair, the set I heard was not run in optimally)

CD3K - smooth and elegant but lacks dynamics and snap

DT880 - generally neutral but not everyone likes its recessed mids and lean/tight bass

Hm..would anyone happen to know the price?

Those beauties are calling out my name....i swear....

Furthermore, i've fallen in love with my SR-125s all over again....gah....

*ps, Mackie, is the 325 in general considered brighter than the 125s in general? My run in 125s arent bright

to me, but rather what i would consider energetic and lively!

I guess I've not been to head-fi much, why is it referred to as the fat boy?

Bigger cup as in the ear cups or the driver enclosures? It looks less of a bling bling in your photo though... almost acceptable even!

I can't say as the 325 I tried had very little hours of running in and so my opinion wouldn't be fair. I wouldn't mistake dynamics and speed for brightness as it's as clear as day and night. wink.gif

Anyone got the new version of the Grados SR-325(Gold)? jump.gif

Yeah, i got it wub.gif

Cant comment though, cos its not burnt in yet... here are some observations

1) Grado smell? what Grado smell?

2) Its not as heavy as some ppl make out, -at all-

3) its built realatively well

4) Sounds VERY good outta the box.

5) I dont find it very bright...yet

6) Its abit loose (i found this strange. Everyone complains grados are too tight)

7) Its outta stock right now. (22 feb)

---- Any Burn-in tips??

---- Any general/grado-specific tips??
