stuka69 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 Used to have the LP, used though. Finally found the CD at Gramaphone. Quincy Jones is a very versatile artist IMHO. Gotta dig up Big Band Bossa Nova later..
N@Z 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 Peterpan - Bintang di surga Indonesian rock band. I prefer their moodier sound compared with the more up-beat flavour of Sheila on 7.

N@Z 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 Yes the whole album is pretty good. I didn't know they were the flavour of the moment in the charts, although I'm not surprised, they were a recommendation from a friend who mentioned that their music is my sort of taste. Mackie 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 U wouldn't believe this but I like the hit ballad by Peterpan too. Its melody stuck to my mind like glue upon first hearing. The gal in the MTV is simply gorgeous. I haven't had this experience with Malay songs since Lagenda by Sheila Majid. In case U wonder, I'm not the least proficient in Bahasa Malayu or Indonesia. N@Z 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2005 Goes to show how main stream the sound of this new generation of rock music is. I myself am also not really into Bahasa type music. I blindly bought the CD because of a recommendation & I wasn't dissapointed. Mackie you should get the CD too as generally the sound quality from popular Indonesian artists tend to have good quality recordings. To get back on track, currently listening to: courtesy of Amazon.com with the CD3K, lacks a little impact so might try it again with my other headphones later.
