Fuwen, Music by Design do stock the 1/4" to 1/8" adaptors separately. I can't remember how much I bought mine for.

It's weird, I never had any problems doing business with Music By Design. As a matter of fact I do feel that they provide one of the best after and before sales services around.

I am sure Music by Design do provide repair services if you have purchased the Sr60s from them. Otherwise, it would be best if you can give them a call at 63343981.

Fuwen, where did you purchase the HD25-1?

On certain days, I do find the HD600+Mobius a better combination. The mobius does tighten up the bass and gives the HD600 more detail. I would say the Mobius with the HD600 approaches the signature of the DT931.

Charistmatic, in your opinion, does Oelbach cable improves sound quality substantially over the stock cable? I'm currently pondering on such an offer. Thanks. There is one thing I notice about the stock cable, it seems to have more air than the oehlbach and the mobius. With my setup, the oehlbach with the HD650 gives it too much weight making the music sound slow.

How does the HD650 pairs with your "toaster" and the EMC1up?

Just wondering what are the setups you guys used with the above headphone? I shall start with mine: Consonance 1.1 -> kimber select 1030-> corda HA1 -> HD650 with Equinox.

I am currently using a CDP which has an upsampling capabaility and a headamp output. Shanling T100C I hardly use the upsampling feature. You are welcome to my place to try it out. It has both a solid state and tube output. I for one wouild like to test your HD650 with mobius cable..... Let me know if you are interested in listening to my CDP. I can provide beer and whiskey. Sure thing, but that would only happen around the end of September. I can bring long the Equinox cable as well.

When you say upsampling, are you refering to the Marantz CDP? If so, which model of the Marantz cdp has upsampling? Coz I am looking for an upsampling cdp. What do you mean by : price is not a major factor other than budget ?

Snappier? In what sense? More dynamics? After some thoughts, I will not be getting the Silver dragon since I need the cash on my new CDP. However, I will be getting some silver cables and DIYing something up. Will keep you all posted.

My HD650 has more than 500hrs, However I still doubtt that the HD650 will be a cans for all genres of music. One thing for sure is that the HD650 cannot present rock music as well as the grados. Even for new age music, I prefer my HD600 with the Equinox, as it has a bigger "soundstage. Currently my HD650 is only used for vocals and jazz. As for the problem with the recessed treble, you definately need more than 500 hrs of burn in and a cable change. The Zu Mobius does bring out the treble more as compared with the Equinox. YMMV

Depending on what tube amp you are getting, some maybe quite detailed (more information as you call it) as compared to some SS amps. At the end of the day, it still boils down to your personal taste in music presentation.

The grainy sound which you have heard may not be due to your amp. It could be due to your headphones, ICs or your source.

The impedence setting on the amp refers to the impedence of the headphones.
