    New acquisition

Thanks ablaze! Wow, you did get a good bargain. They look quite nice indeed.
  3. I think I know what you are getting to replace the X cans. But I won't tell! Good choice. You'll have to try it out with the HD600 & RS-1 though. Hush! I won't say anything more!

    Thanks Rameish

How much does CDs cost over there bulkie?

    New acquisition

Try getting used to the sound first by listening to it exclusively for about a week then go back to your CD3000 (oops, are they still at the shop right now?). Enjoy the music & don't think too much about it! What does the headphone stand look like?
  6. El Scorcho: I've moved this thread into the main forum as it is not related to the classifieds.

    Thanks Rameish

    Hehehe! Bad joke I guess.
  8. As the classified thread is growing steadily. Would you guys agree to a buyer/seller feedback forum similar to Head-fi? It should be quite useful to get feedback good or bad. Good both for potential buyers or sellers to refer to.
  9. I put a null vote as I am not familiar with these earphones at all. What's the speciality of the the Shure E series earphone say compared with the Etys?
  10. If El Schorch doesn't mind me answering this first. I've asked this question before at the head-fi forum. So I'll relay what info I got. Basically the Trackmaster is designed more for audio whereas the DVD Edition is for Home Theater (slight bass hump). Both are full sized closed heaphones. El Scorcho can provide more details.

    Stay safe everyone.

All at Hung Bros waiting for their $5 rebate?!

    Pink Floyd

Thanks, maybe it was just an anomaly with the Rolling Stones remasters.
  14. E888 is not a excuse for a big money spending, BTW, I got quite some phones to play with right now. Actually, I miss my ex70 quite a lot for it's comfort and noise blocking nature, maybe can get a px200 if somebody interested to take over my ksc35 for a good price, I use 11se driven mx500 in the office and k501 and w1000 at home, ksc35 almost not in use and maybe a close phone for MRT travel is a good idea. Tried the px200 once, sounds quite nice, but looks stupid on my head Correction, I didn't say big money, only "newer & better".

I'm a little confused with the SACD remasters. How do tell whether they are SACD as last time I saw the rolling stones remasters there doesn't seem to be any major indicators. Dohhh...
  16. Had mine built by JMT originally with Neutrik socket, Alps pot, v.2.0 board, AD8620 op-amp & double stacked EL2001 etc. At the moment it is being upgraded to near MAXED OUT by KurtW, quad EL2002 & some other tweaks & mods. I don't trust myself well enough at the moment to carry out any kind of soldering work!

You should try listening to David Gilmour's solos on a tube amp! Incredible tone. I have to state the obvious here, I like The Wall expecially Just another brick. If you'd like a variation, try Roger Waters The Wall Live in Berlin.
  18. Great to hear you have a buyer for the PCII already. Take your time with the Sony. I'm hoping also someone there has the Senn HD600 so I don't have to bring it over too.
  19. Just in case anyone is still interested in the remaining 3 items, they are still available.
  20. How do I do that pls PM me. I couldn't find it in my Mod CP.
  21. Have you tried at Adelphi, somewhere at the top floor the 2nds shop. They seem to have a wide variety of old gear there. Might be a good place to just have a look around, never know what you may find.
  22. Ting: Good excuse to get a newer & better set of cans!
  23. I'll try but it'll take a little time as my connection is so slooooooooow lately. ISP has been doing upgrading work & it seems slower than faster.
  24. Ahh... as long as it's not called a FORUM then it should be ok
  25. VHS is harder to find here but in Msia it possible. Cassettes vary in price here but in general that is the price in Msia. So it will be a good idea for you to pop over to Johore to go on a spree there! Beware of imitations but that should not be a problem in the major 'Speedy' shops.
