Sibilance? Usually its just a very irritating hissing sound but if there is a crackling sound, it may be a spoilt driver or your mp3 encoding. Try it out with other recordings on cd's or something else to confirm?

For dslr's mp's can almost be irrevelant. The E1 is a good camera but ultimately its an ageing one. High iso shots (above 400) are very very noisy and quite possibly worse than yer c8080. I think its really a toss up between yer preferences the E300 or the 20D. I dont think you will like the D70 out of the box because you will need to get to get used to the underexposed nature of the cam. If you really want to get more lenses, U may want to get a 350D (digital rebel2). The annoucement and specs just came out yesterday and its very much, or almost the same as the 20D! The extra cash comes in very handy. Give yourself somemore time and really play with the camera's. U will then know which camera is you preference.

I read that the qualia comes in 3 fixed sizes and that you have to go down to the store to test which size fits you best and to find a proper fit. Quite odd that something that high end would be so troublesome.

You could try a sony mdr-V6/mdr-7506 around that price. Bassy enough for techno but may not perform as well on classical. Do note that its a little bright compared.

N@Z, how much are they selling at your place? Ive seen the 70-300VR being sold at 3k here with full warranty. Grey sets are of course cheaper but as usual not advisable. I wonder how yer gonna camoflage yourself with that huge lens Not exactly the walk about and shoot type. Another 'hidden' cost u may have to consider is a good tripod/monopod. Blues, do you have a link for the safrotto bag? Btw, u guys havent seen my friend's cute 'rocket' blower...looks like a rocket ready to launch!
