  1. Where are you getting your Dip 2in1 from? I have yet to try out the 746s I have. Have anyone tried it? I also have a LT1361 on order.
  2. I was the first person on vrz who mentioned that Jaben shoved it in. I am still using the IEM and I did try to remove it to put in the stock cables once, it was a little looser. But tight nonetheless and I switched back to the ES cables in no time because it was so much easier to coil and pack plus reduces so much more of the microphonics. Seriously, I think we should just let the matter rest. My drivers are fine and just by mere speculation of spoiling drivers, should one be spreading around news like these. It sure looks more like a mud slinging session, all the more so if torx/dcarter so admits that he is selling his own gear. Even if his intentions are clear, the end result does make me feel a little queasy. I don't think I'd be commenting further in this thread. No sense beating a dead topic.

    XRCDs

I had the chance to A-B the CD vs XRCD and the difference is indeed very audible.

    Emi Fujita

I must agree the same too. Very very beautifully done!
  5. Great indeed. Though some reviews must be taken with a lot of salt. It's still a good site to go to.
  6. This is my opinion thus far after having both. Found the lineout for both are quite close. 5.5G Video : UI : Fast and Responsive. Headout : Sounds full and accurate. Agreed upon as best of the iPods other than Shuffle 1G Classic : UI : Very sluggish even with latest firmware. Headout : Very clean, but sounds slightly thinner than that of iPod Video I went with the Classic as I needed the capacity, but at a slight loss of SQ. I am more for using my computer rig at home than desktop rig so this is working out fine for me.
  7. Came across a Crossroads one at Jaben. Not sure of the price though. Give them a call
  8. Yeah, have a little too many cans, amps and daps. Very broke now: What are all the mods you are doing to the PCB? Changing all the caps?
  9. I am using with the following : IEMS : UM1 UM2 E4c E500PTH SF3 SF5Pro TF10Pro Cans : DT770/250 2005 DT990/250 2005 AKG K701 MS2
  10. I compared my 1G against the other players like Sansa and the 1G won. It's however not as good as my Cowon/iRivers.
  11. Zen Vision SQ is actually not bad. I think the SR-60 just does not have syngergy with the Zen Vision.
  12. CK7 should be alright in this case
  13. I thought grounding will reduce hissing? Why remove the grounding?
  14. If the only problem is with battery, you can have it changed quite fast and cheaply at SLS.
  15. Glad that you found the cans you like. I have different cans for different types of moods and music
  16. You might want to try an external sound card or you can also try running mp3gain through some songs and see if they distort. If the distortion goes away, it's because pf clipping of the peaks by iTunes.
  17. I am all for the D1 too. It's a little more than $300 but it's sound is very good stock. with some opamp rolling, it is supposed to rival DACs worth more than $500 and amps worth more than $500. Lots of possibilities there.
  18. I have been looking for this too. Anyone knows where?
  19. Wow.. be careful with that or it might burn your components
  20. There's XBi now. You might want to audition it to see if it works out for you.
  21. I would recommend the UM1 or StudioFi3 as they offer better clarity than the E2C. Unless you're a basshead of course, then go with the E2c
  22. The Senn PXC450 is quite decent. But personally I prefer noise isolation to noise cancellation as it somehows distorts the sound.
  23. You might want to consider the Sennheiser PX100, sound very good for less than $100.
