I don't game much, but I used my Beyer DT990s for gaming very well (but it will not help you shield out outside noise, perhaps you might want to look at the Beyer DT150 which is closed). The clarity is so much that it gives you an unfair advantage in the game

I prefer the treble and bass of the OPA2111 for the LR and 6241HV for the mids. The 8656 sounds really good on the DAC too. Tried it outputted to a Move... very sweet. But definitely not portable

Huh? Generally most agree that the Shuffle 1G sounds the best stock amongst all the iPods as it is using a Sigmatel DAC and chipset. The new Shuffle 2G sounds a little thin with the new Samsung chips also used on the new Classics. I would use my Shuffle 1G a lot more if the battery lasts. You can still buy them off Apple's web site with 1yr warranty.

Mine came with 6234 L/R opamps and 5532 buffers.

I tried it with the HA1A and stock tubes but there was audible hiss past the 9 o'clock position Poor mutt! But I guess as long as you don't punish him.

Yup, I am doing the same for my 701 pads and they seem to be working out pretty well

I purchased both the 1/4 to 1/8 Grado and the Senn adapter. I find the Grado a little longer but much stiffer than the Senn ones. So I prefer the Senn ones. But it is substantially tighter than the Grado ones when I plugged my Beyers into it.

Nope, it does not affect the sound quality at all. The same thing happens to the Westone and UE cables too. So not to worry.

In the US, if you don't mind the little wait in shipping from out of state, you can save all the Sales Taxes and a lot of the merchants provide local shipping for free, so it is definitely much easier to get stuff cheaper in the US. And yes, Size matters.. the US market is more than 100x bigger than Singapore's which helps.

Anyway I think we should leave it as that. No sense continuing any animosity between all the parties involved. Ultimately all of us want to enjoy our music right?
