From a website "Cayin is a German company that developed their tube lines jointly with STAX in China. " Is that true? I was under the impression Cayin was made by Spark and was compleatly Chinese! But I can't say I really botherd to find out. if it is true that is good! Grmany has good engineering skills as proved by the RKV and many cars. However most german cars I dislike. I think it is supposed to have different options for like.. fast power output that would be good for amps and one thats better at cleaning the power but cant deliver so much current in one got for CD player etc... But I only got that from the Babel fish conversion of the site you gave me! I'm probably wrong.

I'd just like to give my biggest and warmest recommendations to doing business with Cattylink! I am in the process of ordering some kit from them and their service is absolutely second-to-non! They have replied to every email I have sent them within 5min! Except when I send it at night.. For a business that charges such a modest price they offer amazing service. I was looking on a Chinese audio retailer site and found this BADA LB3000 Power Plant mains conditioner. It is so cheap! I am going to get one. If it is no good who cares! But I was just wondering if any of you have used/seen this before? Or if someone could translate the useful info on the page to English for me I'd be grateful! I THINK BADA stands for 'British Audio Dealers Association' but if it does I would expect at least something on internet about it. Thanx,

Okay, so I had a play with a FM audio transmitter and receiver I have. The quality was pretty good when plugged into a decent hi-fi however not great. I think the actual transmission method used for these wireless headphones are just as big a part of the quality problem as the amps. The bandwidth is just too limited to get a 'audiophile' quality signal from FM. The frequency response is limited to about 18Khz, but the dynamics are what suffer most. So.. if someone was to make this wireless amp I think it would have to work on UHF rather than FM to get a un-compromised signal. I have a UHF transmitter which is meant for sending video round the house without any wires. I was going to see if I could use that to send an audio signal and then use a UHF receiver (the silver boxes inside a video recorder or TV) but I couldn't find one. Which is odd because I am sure we had a few lying around! So anyhoo, that?s what I say- Use a UHF transmitter and receiver for a cheap way to transmit a good quality audio signal. I'm not going to build it though, I can't use it with my K1000's so I am not going to spend money to get the parts to build it just for interest. I still think its a good idea, so if someone else wishes to have a go then by all means do! I would like to know how it goes! I also think the best way to do it would not be to build it onto the amp, but to just make a small box that can plug into the inputs of any portable amp. Cheers,

I can probably knock something together this weekend to see if it works. It won't be a good test of the sound capabilities however because I do not have a good portable amp. I have one that runs on a chip from a soundcard that is powered from a 9v batt. The receiving circuit should not be too big. Maybe the size of a mini-disc including the arial. The only problem is that it will run the batteries down a lot faster. It should have a range enough to go round a normal size house and into the garden. I will let you know how I get on! Trouble is, it will NEVER work with my K1000!! NoooOOoo....

I was not into headphones at that point. However when people started talking on Echoloft more about what was going on here I went and joined up. Then you guys got me hooked on headphones! Yea the Eclipse is quite a nice TT for the money, well built. All the other TT around that price are pretty poorly built. Richer Sounds used to sell them. It is certainly no equal to the Pro-ject however.

I wouldn't think any Grado 'phone would normaly be bright. What soundcard are you useing it with? In my experiance, soundcards tend to have a spitty bright treble. If you used it with a warm, smooth amp it may be better than looking for a warmer 'phone. What do you other guys think?

Wow, I didn't know Cooler was Freiza's older bro! I have only seen him in movie 6. That movie seemed a bit silly to me You know I seem to have bad luck with losing my anime!
