Gouki 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Hi again, I would like to know what music is suitable for breaking in my new phones (CD 3000) : First stage breaking in (low volume) - What songs shall I play here? Second stage breaking in (mid volume) - What songs shall I play here? Third stage breaking in (high volume) - What songs shall I play here? I have songs from : - Sydney Olympics 2000 soundtrack (lots of classical/mild pop) - Coco Lee - Just no other way (good female vocal??) - Initial D - er... cheesy techno beaty stuff - Savage Garden - Affirmation (good male vocal??) - The Crystal Method - industrial techno, fast - Moby - Play And, a variety of (actually a lot of) : - Techno - Hip Hop - Pop sentimental stuff Basically I want to break in my phones properly, but I don't know what kind of music I should be playing. I will be looping the tracks using WINAMP from the computer and letting it play for a few days. Please give me your advice, Yoroshiku Onegai Shimasu!!! AND, what's a good affordable AMP for the CD3000? I have no idea about AMPs as I've never used them before and my source is going to be my computer (for MOVIES, ANIME, and 128-256kb MP3s). You can get from The Adelphi -> New disc village But using music of different genres have the same effect as well. The idea here is to make your cans exercise across the different freq. So you need something that exercise high, mids, and some that have heavy bass. Hope u get the idea. Just as many genres as possible. Do not use MP3s as the highs and lows are usually cut off from these tracks. A good idea would be to plug into a 24-hr radio station and leave it on. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

What is the diff of mp3 and fm radio? infact most of the fm radio(with the exception of the v good ones) is more lo-fi compared to 192-256 kbps mp3 I used to plug my phone into the soundcard jack and just played all my mp3s for a few days. Blues 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 I am talking about those mini compo's fm . Not those hi-fi tube tuner hor.. that one.. I've heard the quality and was very impressed. Anyway Gouki, I think best is if you connect the cd3k to comp and run the winamp for a few days. Make sure you have a variety of music to try and exercise the driver. The CD3000 on the other hand sounds like its got a lot to offer. I got it for 40,000 yen which is about $638.41 SG. OMG, I can't believe I spent that much on a pair of headphones!!! I must be crazy!! BTW, do you have any recommendation for suitable AMPs for the CD3000? They had AT amps, creek, luxman and CEC all varying in prices from 60,000 to 150,000 yen.
