Northern Oak 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2003 Sure thing, just need to get an organiser who's good with cans and KTV ... Barradio, did you get your Musical Fidelity X-10D? Not yet, anyone got X-24K for sale? Ever since I set my eyes on Mackie's X-24K, I've been searching high and low for it. Best of luck Barradio.
Northern Oak 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2003 Pub (Cans-Symposium) and after which KTV (Babes-Symposium)... Man, I thought this site is meant for people who's seriously into cans, NOT babes!!! hehe ...
Blues 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2003 .. the thread has gone astray from 'I am new' to babe.. noti noti... lol
tee 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2003 Hi Guyferd, Thought the title "i am new" is very suitable for some of us who are new to each other and also to local scenes.....when is the symposium going to take place ?....there should be option of non-alcoholic drinks for you like mocktails or light champaign. Occasionally, I did listen to music attentively (both on headphones and thru' speakers, not counting at KTVs) after some drinks, it sounded "different". The mood has an effect on what you hear and how you react to the songs....sub-consciousness plays a part in this mode, for me the impact was particularly strong with instrumental nos. Mackie 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2003 (edited) Gees.....a passing statement can lead to something as serious as this...........in a good way I suppose!! I concur with Rameish in having a gathering with drinks but in a target rich environment where all pubs are located, it's hard not to end the night in a KTV ....hahahaha............. If U guys are really serious, I can consult my colleague to ID a good place. Like tee, I'm more well versed in the foreign scene (HK) as I've completely lost touch with here. In the meantime, shall we discuss a date and rendezvous? Edited May 18, 2003 by Mackie
N@Z 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2003 See, it's so easy for you single guys but what excuse do we have?!

N@Z 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2003 Good question Guy. Well, luckily I am so far away so I don't have to get 'permission', can't go anyway!

Rameish 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2003 Hey...let's keep it to drinks and music. Does anyone know where Eldie Young plays these days? Is he in town or back in the US of A? My wife could become trouble and strife if this thread is read by her. She's out playing mahjong right now so I can be brave. All you single guys take note. Why do you think I sold off my high end gear and settled for cans in the first place. Rameish the music is too loud, Rameish the baby's sleeping, Rameish I want to watch TV...Rameish I can hear the music in the bedroom. Once I had a music room... that disappered with the maid and baby. Then the hi-fi got relocated from the pubbing area to a corner of the apartment. Sigh. How the mighty have fallen. tee 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2003 Rameish, That's why i keep different systems in different secret places...hehe .....so there are always warm sweet sound & voices around whenever i relax in the East, West or Central. Heard that ERA is going to build a specialist warehouse (with temperature and humidity control) for individuals in the East so that those need to keep their favourite systems out of family's sight could do so comfortably. Of course, please keep this info strictly confidential unless you want her to track you down. And pls don't use the same means for other purposes which i have no intention of misguiding for:D .... yes, agree to keep it to drinks and music.....remember Eldee Young used to play frequently with Jeremy Monteiro at Sommerset Bar in Westin (called Swissotel now)
