dgps: I think obh-11se is even warmer and has more weight/realistic than the original obh-11, so you might want to consider that . Oh wait yours is 11 or 11se?

And that's just around 500. But it's discontinued already, so you might have some luck finding a cheap used one. Also, I think obh-21se is worth a shot. They're the newer models.. but should be pretty good.

Looks like the Sony R-10s will have to wait. I've done some critical listening all day today and picked up the Zolt from Barradio this evening. I have decided to keep the PreHead-1 (AD 8610).

I finally hooked it up to my turntable as well and it sings. I will also keep either the HA-2 or a HA-1 (MkI) for the bedroom.

 

For cans I'll keep the RS-1 and maybe the DT-880. I also decided not to pick up the Rotel RCD-990 as it's too old and there are no replacement parts for the lens unit.

 

Everything else will go.
