first things first, the $99 offers were all sold out by the time i reached there [around 8pm plus]

also, i didn't really check out the JBL, harman kardon and infinity stuff [not really interested]

prices [let's get this part over with first]

DT131-$49

DT131TV-$89

DT231-$99

DT531-$199

DT831-$319

DT250-$299

DT770-$399

DT990-$499

DT880-$599

had a chat with albert, sales & marketing manager of peak fusion. he knows about the sgheadphones forum too, and follows it quite closely. [we are not alone]

he mentioned Mackie and Rameish during our conversation too.

headphones comparo

took the opportunity [i.e. noisy environment] to try out the closed headphones, namely DT250, DT770 and DT231

note that i listened to these phones for only a short while

DT231

cups barely covered my ears

didn't really listen to it after that

DT250

snug fit

provides better isolation compared with DT770 or DT231

nice bass

DT770

not as tight a fit as DT250

less isolation perhaps as a result of above

treble seems a little more pronounced

oops just now posted at the other thread

the prices are way above what we can even get from our local headphone shop

but nevertheless, I think dt131 may be worth a shot for those looking for budget phone.

Thanks for the report evo! nice pics

anymore pics that you took?

the 880 out of cd player headphone jack?

man how can they ever sell their product rolleyes.gif (even the B&O connect their A8 to some good cdp and amp-> marketing gimmick but it works laugh.gif)

Thanks for the photos evo. Did you by chance notice whether it was the DT250-80 or DT250-250? I'm wondering how it compared to the DT770 in terms of treble & midrange clarity since you found the 250's had nice bass.
