  6. It is quite a good place to have the meet. The main disadvantage is that is does not favour anyone besides those living in the West. Hmmm Jason, do you stay near Dover or Clementi?
  7. I can try the SP guild house if you all want. They have some function room. I'll try to find out the cost ASAP...

The X-cans v2 and v1 are pretty good amps. With the change of caps and tubes it would sound like a top end headphone amp.
  13. Please PM me the price for the META42 Maxed out?
  14. Yes you did N@Z. And Bulkie, stay away from those Beyer Pads (they don't improve the sound. Yes we all need to take a leaf outa Abalze's book. I just sold my Grado RS-1 and guess what I'm feeling now? A little unsure. Yeah me feeling unsure is a rare thing but it happens. So take heart bulkie - you're not the only one. Now I'm thinking about Emmeline headphone amp from Ray Samuels? Having heard the Gilmore V2 and Cordas and Creeks and Grado RA-1 and X-Cans and Micro-ZOTL and EMP and and and. God help me please. Hmmm, I am quite interested in the Emmeline headphone amp as well. It seems like it is getting a really good review in head-fi. The other thing is that the amp is very responsive to op-amp rolling. The other amp which is not so well known is the Chiarra. It was highly recommended by Pink Flyod. However it comes in a kit form. Pinkie did a pretty comprehensive review on the Chiarra. Hi Oakie, care to share with us your initial impression of the X-feed. As for me, the modded X-cans V2 + X-feed + DT880 is sonic bliss....

  22. Any place to conduct an audition? Very interested to know how it sounds
  23. Just got my DT880 from Mackie yesterday. It had about 70 hrs of burn in and it should reach the 100th hour mark by tomorrow morning. So far, I like what I have heard from the DT880. It is indeed a good replacement for the HD600 with stock cable. The bass response of the DT880 is much better than the HD600 with stock cable. The bass of the DT880 is a tad flabby. However the cans are still very new, will give it a couple of days more. I am pretty sure it will tighten up as time goes along. For the treble and the mid range it is more or less the same as the HD600. Will post another review after the 100th hour.
