2nd to that! Parts is easy to find.

But tubes! I have been looking around for 12FK6/12FM6/12AU7A especially Tungsol.

Very hard to find.....any1 have that to spare?

 

Might able to get a match pair 12FM6 ... i hope

As I was speaking with squalle just now.. dont align the jfets wrongly else it might get a blown-up. Btw, while waiting for the board.. all go and secure a Ecc82 tube first. Hi quality tube can be only gotten through ebay cheap. Squalle may have some tube leftover from previous order

 

So far i think siruz, me and squalle and 1 other have built this from scratch. Got question just ask.

Thanks for the advice Kippei. Will pay extra attention to that when assembling the SOHA.

 

Since the start of the group buy, I have been looking around to check if the parts are readily found here and I have to agree with the difficulty in sourcing for good tubes. But I am also having problem getting some Cerafine caps that I want to use, anyone knows where I can find some of these discontinued babies?

Good news, digi01 is in the process of doing a revision for his SOHA board, thus shipment will be slightly delay. IF you want to join us, please send me a pm with your order and add yr name to the list in the earlier post.

Thanks Qsilver for bring this to my attention.

 

I have conversed with digi01 on the SOHA revision issue and it seems like he would be releasing an improved version of the pcb to allow the use of better capacitors.

 

The new boards would only be ready in 20 days' time which is towards the end of this month. Thus I would like to check the overall opinions on whether are you guys in the rush to get your boards or would you rather wait for the new revision?

 

I will try to arrange with digi01 on the possiblility of doing 2 shipment if there is a need for delivery now. Those who have placed their orders, please do let me know of your opinions and concerns...

The new layout will be able to fit in those 12.5mm dia caps.

So will wait for the revise version.
