Tel: 63339745 But was told because distributor no stock, hence need to indent, pay deposit and wait 3 weeks. IMHO, cheaper and faster to order from US. cmk 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2003 (edited) I just bought the Beyer DT-990 pro for $334 at Hung Bros. They were also offering the Senn 580 and 590 at $369. Think its a sale price for a limited period. Mod edit: Its the pro version that cmk bought, not the consumer version with 2.5N clamp pressure. xistrot 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 You can get the Sennheiser HD 497 at $109 at Funan Challenger, if you are a non-member. But if you are a member of Challenger (or you can get someone to lend you the card) you can get the HD497 at $99.
cmk 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 My last purchases for 2003 : Senn PX200 $190 from Hung Bros iRiver SlimX IMP400 $235 from Dynasty 2nd floor SLS IMO : this portable combination offers amazingly good sound quality, good detail/separation with very nice mids, plus the bass goes low with good definition. Definitely not bright. It also offers very simple personalised EQ, which works well enough. I only boosted the bass a little. On the whole a very balanced sounding combination. Highly recommended. augustineRS 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2004 (edited) Senn PX200 $190 from Hung Bros.iRiver SlimX IMP400 $235 from Dynasty 2nd floor SLS Are you sure you bought the PX200 from $190?!or is it PX250 the noise cancelling ones?I bought my PX200 at $99 from Best Electric.Hung Bros is selling at $99 before bargain if i'm not wrong. Anyway, iRiver rocks.Former owner of IMP550.regret selling it now IMP400 can get a used one at $150-180 in Hardware zone classfied. If paid $235 for new IMP400 might as well go for the IMP550(used), since it will have more memory for future firmware upgrade. This is my view though... av98m 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 (edited) You have a point...but the problem with buying used discmans is the: 1. Warranty usually expired, so you're screwed if it just happens to break down. I know someone who had to pay a lot to replace the remote. 2. Regardless of cosmetic appearance, you really have no idea what kind of abuse it has gone through, like rough use or being exposed to water, bodiliy fluids etc. See No.1 3. There could be certain functions or menu options that actually do not work but by the time you realise it, too late. Or the player could just be a bit temperamental. Good luck trying to get the seller to fix the problem. For peace of mind, just cough up the extra $50 or so to get a shiny brand new player with 1 year local warranty and save yourself a lot of potential grief. Really. P.S. I was with cmk looking for the imp400. We were both going to buy it buy as it turns out there was only 1 set left. Damn! The boss is ordering another set for me. augustineRS 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 (edited) Yah I understand your point of view. I got mine imp550 as used which was disaster free. It was barely 3mths old.Comes with recepit and warranty card. My Pana SX410 was used to.Like new from box.Good thing about having a lady as previous owner. The only screwed up one is the Pana CT790. Any idea whats the price for IMP550 now? Did cmk really got the PX200 for $190?or a typo? MODs:I'll not use this as a chatting anymore... cmk 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 (edited) Ops sorry, typo, $90 for the PX200. The IMP550 I think was about $300. av98m and I took at look at it and sure its smaller, but we prefer to toilet seat look. Edited January 3, 2004 by cmk
