jig_sg 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2009 5751! I've been reading up a lot on that tube model since my Ear+ HD uses it. Damn, I recently sold off my spares. Try to go for the triple mica versions, my current favourite is the GE 1950s triple mica black plate. Price a little steep though. The extra mica helps to reduce noise floor and microphonics. My driver tubes are Sylvania NOS 6SJ7GT and they have a low-level hum - they already have about 120 hours on them so I don't think it's a question of burning in My power tubes were Tung Sol NOS 6AS7G, but I found the bass a little lacking after over 60 hours.
