Need the cash, so I'm clearing out my collection: Senn HD 600 + Cardas: In very good condition. Complete with box in very good condition, and original Senn cables absolutely new. Have removed foam covering from drivers which veil the sound. Asking price: $400. Ultrasone HFI 2000: In very good condition. Also removed foam from driver housing. No box. Asking price: $250 Will throw in the Philips HP 890 free (without stand or box) to the first buyer. Like I said, I'm clearing out. Prices are only slightly bargainable, so please be reasonable. I've been informed by my contact at Ultrasone that the edition 7 retails for 2690 euros (shipping not included). You'd have to be to even think about it.

Direct translation from Hokkien: jump-storey-goods, i.e., the kinda dealyou get when the boss of the corporation takes a dive of the top of tall building. Besides, I have never believed in bleeding ppl dry for their interests. My former prices were dictated by Ultrasone.

Fully agreed: weird, i.e., non of the things Hertsens said makes any sense to me. Will look at the PDF later and comment, but based on first impressions, I sure ain't gonna spend my money on this.

I'm also pretty skeptical of anything that doesn't sppear on the official Grado website. Apparently, some Head-Fi'ers have indicated that this is an exclusive edition for studio and professional use, and will probably never see general distribution. It seems more exclusive than the Alessandro MS Pro. If it does become available by Grado Labs to the general public, I'm sure it will be on the website. As far the rumor that it's better than the RS-1, I also have my reservations. I've heard both the MS-Pro and RS-1, and frankly, they're just different presentations of what is essentially the same Grado sound. I still favor the RS-1.

I'm still around. Sorry I have been MIA for so long. I actually did pop in a couple a times, but didn't post. Anyways, thanks to ablaze for putting up Jan Meier's reviews fo the new Ultrasone cans (though I still only stock HFI-650s). Been getting a bit of business here and there, but sadly none from SG Headphones. Oh well what the hell... still a nice place to hang out and shoot the breeze about headphones and other imporatnt things in life right?

You might want to consider Ultrasone HFI-650. Not the most portable headphone, but isolation and sound is impeccable. I use with my Sony MD player (no amp); works great. Works pretty good for PC gaming and movie watching as well.

I was also very interested in that mod when I read abt it in Head-Fi, but I think earhuggers are not available here. But I'm sure that y'all know about ER's plans to mod the cable into a shorter cable which hopefully finally gets rid of the microphonics problem . One head-fier already got the prototype cabale for his 4S when he recently sent it in for servicing. We should hear more abt this from ER in a month or two, according to Don Wilson.

Got mine secondhand, but in almost mint condition for USD$130. Audio Advisor is a good place to try; great service, quicker than expected shipping. And it doesn't ship Fedex only or issue commercial invoices (resulting in tax) like Headroom.

Aiya, guy, don't be modest. Looking at your set up, it's definitely more high end than mine. My setup is so low I don't even dare publish it. But there are really times when I just pull off my headphones, and just let the music play in the background; usually when I'm working or reading. Of course, there are other times when I sit and listen from 11pm - 2am, my CDs lying all around me. I am finally forced to take them off at 2 'cause I'm too sleepy to carry on. Hope you get your amp up and running again soon.
