Mackie 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2003 (edited) HDAM is highly featured in Marantz cdps from CD6000 bracket range on onwards. Here's the definition from the official website. HDAM - Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules : Discrete circuitry to replace IC op-amps with low-noise independent components and short signal paths. They preserve the dynamic structure of music so that even vulnerable high frequencies are translated accurately. The result is an effortlessly dynamic sound that's both expressive and detailed. I was bowled over by its impressive electronics. Even the transport is different from the norm. Gotta research more. Edited July 3, 2003 by Mackie

Mackie 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2003 Sipher, CD63KI is the predecessor of the CD6000 series and hence, they too carry HDAMs.

Blues 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2003 good cdp!!! I think I might like 7300's characters which rolls the highs slightly.. but I can live with my 6000.. infact I don't find them piercing at the highs ah but maybe it's all in the gears also
jasonhanjk 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2003 Is it possible to match an amplifier to restore the bass depth?
Blues 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2003 jason, let me give you a killer tip: get beyer dt770 you won't need any so-called hi end amplifer and IC to restore it. It will give you plenty and I mean PLENTY of it
jasonhanjk 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2003 Yeah. Read that on head-fi that it adds too much bass. What I would like is something original a bit like my HD600. Anyway I just bought it this april to play counter strike.
