afbug 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2006 (edited) how much will those cues cost? I add in the cost in my previous post. Mastercue cues' (The 1st two pic in pink background) prices are as posted and avaliable in SG for their production models. Custom ones have to order from the shop and wait for it to be made and ship here. I've seen and held both cues before and they look very much nicer and better in person. http://www.mastercue.th.com/ Mastercraft cues' prices are exclusive of shipping and I don't think have a dealer in SG. These are full custom cues, have to order from him directly. http://www.mastercraft-cues.co.uk/10040/info.php?p=2&pno=0 These pictures don't do justice to the cues I guess. afbug 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 Not very good for the wallet when we have many hobbies Haha if you see cues as a work of art, then good luck to you. If you need just a cue for playing, no fear as you only need one cue and most people do not change cues once they find the right set-up. Set-up = Tip size, weight etc etc and the feel of the cue. One of the best value for money cues are Mastercue. I've them and they're very very good for the money. $140 can get you a brand new machined spliced one and it is the cheapest cue that have a base female joint to accept extensions. Of the 6 cues I posted, which is nicest? From the Mastercraft brand, I really like this one:
zonalblitz_audio 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2006 Pool custom cues are usually more expensive. You're paying for te tougher playing wood or evn exotic wood(rare wood), ivory parts and leather wrap(snake skin, crocodile skin etc..) if you want to go for those. It may just cost you up to thousands. For a good play cue, the price is about 400 - 800 range, depending on the Custom brand and origin of produce. Of course i think you will never want to own a custom pool cue until the time when you can pot the balls with eyes closed. Just go for a good play cue to your style.
