Rameish 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2003 Guys, We need a venue. Pipee was good enough to hold the last one. And I held the first one in Jan (when we were still called Singapore Members of Head-Fi). So we need a new venue. Since membership is growing, I expect at least 20 members to show up. Some things a host would need to provide: 1) Tables (dining tables would be fine) 2) Coffee tables 4) Lots of power points (4 is minimum) 5) Preferable for the area to be airconditioned (not stricly necessary but 20 guys in a tiny room do generate heat). N@Z 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2003 Mat discussed this with me a couple of weeks ago so I might as well mention it here. There's a possibility that we both might sponsor a venue for this upcoming event should Mat be able to confirm. Of course we are not partial to some voluntary donations as well . Location wise possibly somewhere central like in Orchard Road. I don't know whether it still stands. Maybe Mat can update us on that.

Rameish 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2003 A hotel room would be too small. Maybe a meeting room. Anyone here has firend who work in the hotel industry? Maybe we'll be able to get a discount as well.

lengcm 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2003 (edited) It is quite a good place to have the meet. The main disadvantage is that is does not favour anyone besides those living in the West. Hmmm Jason, do you stay near Dover or Clementi? Edited July 17, 2003 by lengcm
