kchew 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2009 nice cans kelvin are they easy to drive?? Sextett is not easy to drive. K701 with iQube has volume but no bass, Sextett with iQube has neither. My Stello HP100 is driving everything very nicely though. Even with the Sextett, the volume is just below 12 o'clock, so there's plenty of power left. kchew 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2009 Shoot, I can feel the pressure from you guys. I'm actually on the look out for an SACD player with digital input since I might go the SACD route. Stello CDT100 is a very nice non-SACD option, but I need the DA100 Signature for best results, and mine is not the Signtaure...

kchew 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2009 I live at his apartment before, really tiny room... I remember I don't have a study table in my room back then... non-signature Do you miss your old DAC? It's been serving me very very well. the DA100 in the stacked pic is not signature too? :x lol how big can the difference be between signature and none? :\ Signature version has better components, balanced outputs and I2S digital input which has a dedicated clock channel. ical 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2009 (edited) Me too? Cal kor kor, am I invited too? Come come, don't be scare. Just promise to behaviour ah.. So any small boy coming for me to play. kchew, nice collection of AKG! No excuse for not having a cdp lah. That's the minimum if you're looking for quality music. You can always find space if you want. Just add a rack like me solve all problem. I'm looking at Nagra CDP which is nice and small. Maybe we can ask for a better discount if buy together. http://www.nagraaudio.com/highend/index.php http://www.nagraaudio.com/highend/doc_en/B...NagraCD_eng.pdf Edited July 22, 2009 by ical
jig_sg 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2009 Signature version has better components, balanced outputs and I2S digital input which has a dedicated clock channel. Ahhh but the improvements of a dedicated CDP would be more pronounced; of course this will depend on which CDP it is. Nonetheless, don't think you ever find a solution if you're going for an SACD player cos' haven't seen any that can be consider small in size. Perhaps, changing the dac may be a more probable solution to better MmmMMmuuuuUUUuuuSSSssssSSSsssIIIiiiIIIiiiCCCcccCCC....
