DAC is only important for CD transport or any other form of transport (Wadia, PC)? then.. you guys don't listen to songs from PC? only from CDP? Digital Transport (i.e. Computer, Wadia, CD Transport) -> DAC -> Amp -> Headphone and most of the guys here are using. CDP -> Amp -> Headphone these are the 2 options? kchew 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2010 I started off with a DAC because my computer was the source. I toyed with the idea of getting a CD transport, but that just means another power cord, another digital interconnect and more tweaks to worry about, so I got a CDP with digital input (CA840C) so my computer can still be a source.
