  3. Strike off the DT770 from your list. Defenitely not for vocals based listening. Unless you come from the ICE (in car entertainment) or Movie buff camp. From the headphones you've mentioned & what I have experience with, I'd highly recommend in no particular order: SR80 - if you wish to forgo a headphone amp. Otherwise HD580/600, DT880 & maybe even the DT150 (if you need closed headphones & don't mind the narrow soundstage) this last one packs a hefty wallop in the bass region too but not at the expense of mids & vocals. All these headphones work best amped so factor that into your budget if you haven't already.
  4. Moved to the Portable Forum.
  5. Both the original battery that came with my D70 & the original spare battery I got are not affected.
  6. afbug confirmed that you can get them for SG$8.00 from Hung Bros.
  7. http://headphones.warzone.org/ Quite an extensive list but not much more other than standard specs & images. Good enough to oogle/drool at. Got any other links to share other than the usual stuff?
  8. idkfa, if you can, compare the sound with the Senn MX400/500.
  9. Yup, as per neutralzz's post above, no need to "add funds". You need the ebayer/seller's paypal email address to "Send Money" to. Follow the online prompts, easy-peasy. Paypal will deduct whatever amount directly & instantly from the creditcard you provided earlier. Remember to ask the seller whether they charge you extra for using paypal payment to take into account of the admin costs.
  10. I have loads of those Rameish, unfortunately our national carrier provides earpads which are larger than what I need so they tend 2 sag over time. I'm trying 2 look for something slightly smaller than that. I remember seeing them being sold at a shop somewhere for a few dollars only. Either black, red or blue. I fancy colour coding the left & right channels just for fun!
  11. HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY So old already ah?
  12. I have no idea what happened, hosting problems? I was unable to access it for about 3 days. I emailed Ablaze about it day on the 4th.
  13. Micro ZOLT is the one I like the best partnered with the RS-1. Otherwise I have no problems with & quite like the sound with my Cayin HA-1A.
  14. Ming ming! Glad to see you still remember us! BZ making your 1st million maybe!
  15. Too busy making kaching$ for da bling bling$!
  16. Schweet!!! How much will the damage be to the wallet?
  17. Thanks for the impressions & photos guys. No group shot of the whole members for posterity? What are those slabs where the portable items rested on?
  18. OT - What goes around comes around... Coincidently I got mine back as well. Although I don't have any problems with it, I do need to change the earpads. Does anyone know whether the pads from the KSC75/55/50/SportaPro/PortaPro will fit on the KSC35 as well? If so where can I get replacements from? Otherwise, what are the other alternatives?
  19. How much is it in SG? In Brunei it's $578 & $758 for the 30G & 60G respectively from the local Apple center.

  21. Arggh!!! Whatever you do avoid the ibooks if you intend to use photoshop! SLewww compared to a G4 Powerbook! I've used PS on both iBook G4 & 15" PB G4. 15" PB G4 would be nicer because of the excellent display. However much to my dismay during my travels, it's one heavy mutha if you're lugging it around for long periods. If portability is your criteria go for the 12" PB G4, most of the time you'll be resizing your pics for the Net/email anyway. It's just as beautiful & solidly built. If you intend to do alot of multi tasking up the RAM to 1G. My usage with Firefox, messenger, iTunes & PS open at the same time equates to about 3/4 of the 512 MB RAM was used up. A few points to consider/remember when you switch over to Mac: - You won't be able to use alot of software you're used to on WIN. Even MSN Messenger feels like an older version of WINs version. Thankfully PS's functions are exactly the same (at least the ones I've used anyway). - An XP machine will start up & load programs (generally) noticably faster than on a mac. After that it's either faster or at least on par. - Don't bother getting third party anitvirus programs like Norton. I assure you, macs don't need it. - You have to learn not to fiddle around with the system (other than the general user settings/preferences) like you're used to on a WIN. I know, I know, it's a windows user thing, old habits die hard! What I do like about the iBook/Powerbooks: - Connecting to the internet is so easy be it via modem, ethernet or wi-fi. - The elegant minimalist design, synonimous with almost if not all Apple products. - Simple & seemless integration with periferals. Something you should consider if you decide to stick with WIN... the even lighter & smaller Dell 700m. Costs not much more than an iBook G4 if nicely specced. Plus it has that gorgeous 12" wide screen.
