  1. bowers n wilkins...should be GREAT...lolz
  2. i like the vjays...its balanced and accurate... on sale for 80bucks i think.
  3. the beyer is cooler, the hd600 is warmer ... but beyer sounds faster and better with complex orchestration.
  4. i think a hybrid like ef5 or shiit Lyr amp should bring out the fire in the LCD2.. otherwise its kinda dark and distant.
  5. thanks for the review...sure beats the t50p
  6. marshall introduced a retro looking model too.. but just slightly above 100. heard it briefly, tot its quite good.
  7. I had quite good results matching T1 to burson ha-160. The Burson sounding like a cross between a solid-state n a tube.
  8. I used e7+e9 before on the dt880/600ohm...sounds ok.
  9. v-jays...i think its on sale for less than 100bucks.

    amp

get a hippo gumstick player ...aka...dumbstix... its got alot of juice to power alot of iems. and u might not need to buy amps etc.
  11. tubes should tame the highs of the 325i...
  12. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012IT0U...&pf_rd_i=507846 check this out too...one of my nite favorites..with a glass of wine in hand.
  13. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_2_2...ennio+morricone yoyo ma plays ennio morricone... superb for deep night listening. check this out!!
  14. most are durable if handled with care... never put raw iems into jeans pocket and pull it out recklessly. try to coil the wires and tie it up at all times if possible. try to keep iem n wire in a pouch if possible. when all else fails..buy a new iem., and repeat above.
  15. if u read the literature accompanying the hd800... it says its best to listen to it at MID volume. (watever mid vol is...hehe) tat means dun crank it up until it sizzles lah.. i really enjoy the high clarity of this hd800 and the amazing soundstage..superb for big orchestral works. its non fatigueing ...i can go at it for hours. ( using a burson amp. )
  16. more stylo mah.....they also dun wanna miss the cue for the next line..otherwise..semulahhhhhhhh.
  17. combine the budget of both fones.. and get the ultrasone HFI-780.. very clear, u can pick toothpicks out from the sea..lol and also rumbling bass...superb for movies. shiookkkzz
  18. is there a place to auditon this LCD2..from david? the T1 is beautiful with the burson amp. He5 paired with the Ef5 is another good set..palpable. finally its down to personal taste at this level of $funding. The hd800 is crasily good. lolz all good..all good.
  19. if u want semi open, be prepared for sound leakage like open cans. to say they dun leak is useless in a library for example. everyone will be eyeballing u i like the akg k271mkii ..closed can. it sounded very wide like an open can actually. i love this can. the dt880 leaks sound ...quite neutral though. i sold tat too.
  20. outstanding for movies would be the ultrasone hfi780... i sold one for about 200plus..ha. it has high clarity and amazing rumbling bass without being muddy. its a little off your budget, go and collect more angpows.
  21. or try the centrance dacport...small and powerful. udac2 is another good option for M50.
  22. the most expensive toys wont work in my humble 3room flat... just like the massarati tat got stuckkkk behind the bus from traffic lite to traffic lite. the above is to comfort myself..
  23. i am still burning in my s4... out of the box the bass is evident already, now i just need to work out the kinks... maybe clock in 50 to 1oo hours before i get it to singggg.
  24. um3x...530...these are definitely the better products within their brands. In terms of clarity, its hard to fault them compared to the iems in the 100-300 price range.. they are definitely CLEAR sounding and very capable of reproducing the notes from your source. this is a given...unless u are darn picky...or have very critical hearing. Tat said, the um3x belongs to what i call the beyerdynamics type of sound signature.. clear, good seperation, analytical...a little standoffish. Great for big orchestration.. u get the sense that all the instruments are given attention to. If your source is poor for that song...u get it really bad tooo. its very faithful to bring it out. The 530 gives a more lush, more in your face, engaging signature. I tend to want to stand up n dance to the music when i put on my 530. The comments about the highs being rolled off becomes a technical discussion.. quite redundant to my happymood....lol. So at the moment..in the day, i have my 530 in my shirt pocket.. with the SHORT cable..clipped to a sansa clip+ . and enjoy the thumpings as i walk the streets. dun need an amp..super compact. ( todate i still have difficulty putting on the iem wire behind my ears.. the wire kept coming off..so i wear the 530 the normal way.. ) AT nite, i put on the symphonies and ballads with the full orchestra behind.. n relax with my UM3x...with the longcable..very good isolation..shut out the melodrama my wife is watching...kickback n zzz...most enjoyable i must say. (this um3x sits very well in my ears..perfect fit..very comfy..outstanding) I love both these iems...if i must choose only ONE iem on a low budget.. i would go for the WOODY2... its cheap..its clear...its fast...its lush...its thumping...very good soundstage.. about 80% of these two..in most area...an inbetween. Haa...i caught u there..didnt i. okok...my vote goes to the 530.
