jojo_b2 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 Heh, heh...I am using this for my CDP... Which one had more difference presented on your rig the Footer or ground conditioner? Waah! Thinking of not spoiling my CDP too much. as I have a more compleicated setup as I have a CDP for Transport plus a DAC.
kidult 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 i would say footers 1st then ground conditioner. you need 3 set of footers jojo, 1) Yama 2) DAC & 3) CDP the CDP footers can try the one kachui used on his Diva pre-amp. your DAC need a good set footers like the TITE-25MF or TAOC TITE-25GP after footers than ground conditioner after ground conditioner upgrade your CDP

Kachui 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 (edited) The footers on my Diva Preamp not easy to find now. They are called the Qi Cones. They are $180 for a new set of three cones; but I don't think they being sold now...you can try Sky Audio. In the second hand market, they are going for $80 to $120. Think Nofing just got the last two sets from the seller who sold me the Diva. You can try looking for it in echoloft. Edited March 25, 2009 by Kachui
nofing 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 Yea thanks for your help Kachui. Now to hear if they make a difference.
Kachui 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 You are welcome. On the preamp, I can hear changes to the sound as I moved the cones around. I don't know, perhaps tube amp is very sensitive to its base support?
nofing 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 The qi cones do work. But I don't know if it's because of the amp or cdp.
Kachui 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 Probably both. But suspect more on the CDP since jitters and vibrations would probably affect the spinning CD more than anything else.
nofing 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 Now I'm tempted to venture further into isolation and vibration control. But I guess I should give myself sometime to get to better understand how the qi cones interact with my setup first.
Kachui 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2009 I have an uncle friend who put a brick on his CDP to dampen the vibrations...ha, ha...should take a picture of it next time I visit his shop.
